This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of February, 1934, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [442], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

… Avenue, Time of Reading N.Y.C., who left 4:05 to 4:15 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. from there yesterday and is enroute to Miami, Fla. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes. Yes, we have the information from here that has been written, as well as those conditions that have been produced by the improper compounding of that solution which was to make for a stimulation in the segmentations where there has been the tendency for cohesions.

2. As we find, the body is improved greatly in many ways.

3. We would leave off the rubs, unless this was properly compounded - and less quantity of the Oil of Sassafras, and that put in at the proper time. Leave these off for the present, and especially with the change in the climatic conditions.

4. We will find that the sun and the heat from sun will produce a good deal of irritation on these portions that have had these properties rubbed in same. So, until this has been aided by lotions (this portion of the spine, you see) that would take away the irritations produced, we wouldn’t be in the sun too much; else we would have WORSE irritation, and too easily sunburned.

5. For such lotions we would use the almond cream, or the almond cream with the oils. Rub this on about twice each day; it would be quite beneficial to the body.

6. Take the manipulations, being careful of the diet and the activities, and we will find the body will continue to be in a much better and nearer normal state of health.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Is there a thyroid disturbance present? (A) Rather has it been a GENERAL disturbance in the glands and, naturally, as the thyroids are the active forces for the production of those characters within the body itself that separate the nails, the hair, the sinew and gristle portions of the body, these have disturbed the greater.

These will be much more normal with the use of the [hand machine] violet ray over the thyroid region, with the proper manipulations in those areas of the circulation superficially and internally - see, they are one above the other - receiving the reaction. In this treatment we would use the throat applicator, and only treat for about a minute to a minute and a half, superficial stimulation, and a DEEP stimulation from the adjustments - or a release of pressures by manipulation in those areas of the upper dorsal and the lower cervicals.
