This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Halcyon Hotel, Miami, Florida, this 26th day of February, 1927, in accordance with request made by her parents, Mr. [943] and Mrs. [5571].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that I will ask regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find the body is very good throughout. While the normal developments are in progress, and the katabolism and metabolism of the system is kept near normal, there are in those physical forces of the body that of which the body should be warned, and those conditions accorded that would bring about the better physical reaction in the developing body - for, as is seen, there is in the tissue the effect of conditions as have become as drosses or residue in system, from conditions as have existed, and the blood supply and the circulation in the capillaries at times shows effect of this.

4. To rid the system of these conditions, we would add, then, those properties that give the correct incentive to various functioning organs, that the organs may normally function in accord with the rest of the body, and thus bring about the normal conditions for the body - for, as we find, brain forces are very good. The normal condition exists throughout the sensory organism.

5. In the sympathetic nerve system, we find at times this shows irritation, especially when there are reflexes from these conditions that exhibit themselves in the capillary circulation, or the eliminations becoming retarded, by the unbalancing between the hepatic circulation and disturbance in the liver and kidneys, cause this reaction, and the pressure as produced through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus produces the irritation. Not an abnormality. Just a condition that is an index to that necessary for the corrections in the body.

6. Normal condition in heart’s action, in the pulsation, in the pulmonaries.

7. The digestion is very good, nominally - though, as is seen, there are some foods that disagree easily with the body. Never should the body eat much meat. NEVER any hog meat of any nature, unless that of very crisp bacon. Rather should there be those of as much green vegetables as the body will assimilate. Nut and fruit diet, but little of apples should the body ever eat - nor does assimilation of bananas work well with this body.

8. But for the condition, take as this: To one-half (1/2) gallon of rain water, add:

Sarsaparilla Root…1 ounce, Ragweed or Ambrosia Weed…1/2 ounce, Wild Cherry Bark…1 ounce, Elder Flower…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…1/2 ounce.

Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to one-half (1/2) the quantity. Strain while warm and add two (2) ounces of grain alcohol - at least eighty-five percent (85%) - pure - with two (2) drams Balsam of Tolu cut in same. Add to solution while warm. Then add one (1) minim Tincture Capsici, and two (2) minims Oil of Sassafras.

9. Shake solution well to-gether before the dose is taken, which would be half a teaspoonful in water twice each day, before meal and before retiring.

10. Do this, and we will correct these conditions in the physical forces of this body - for these properties are as this: The Sarsaparilla is as the purifier in the blood stream, aided by that of the Ragweed or Ambrosia Weed - as an emit for the duodenum, and an active principle with these in the digestion from the other properties or roots. The active force of the carrier and the other properties, especially that of the Elder Flower, the coordinating effect or vibration set throughout the digestive and mesenteric system. These are necessary to keep in accord in the next two to three years, and necessary to set same aright at present. Do that. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What causes the body to have boils at various times? (A) Just that as has been given. The improper coordination between the liver and kidneys in the hepatic circulation, and eliminations disturbed, and the effect is to capillary circulation, attempting to adjust the conditions in body - see?

12. (Q) What causes the breaking out on the toes? (A) Retarded circulation. Correct circulation - through the properties as given - and these will disappear, see?

13. We are through for the present.
