GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

EC: Now, we find, while the physical conditions as are seen are of that nature and character that are hard to deal with from the physical standpoint, yet there may be those conditions applied to this body that will bring relief for the physical conditions, and through same gradually awaken, with persistence, and with that constant seeking from the forces and of the forces from within, that which will bring better conditions for this body.

This paralysis, or paresis, in the locomotaries, from the lower portion of the body, is produced, as is seen, by deflection and by bony lesions, causing the continuation of this deflection in the lumbar and in the sacral region.

The rest of the system very good in many ways, yet this condition will be assisted through these forces, and, as would be seen, would be necessary that this be followed very closely and often, were the better conditions brought to the body, for, as the changes come from the application of those properties to produce the loosening of this tissue, of this muscular contraction, and the awakening of new circulation to various portions of the body, this would necessitate following closely the changes as would be necessary to meet the conditions as will arise from retraction in the system.

We would massage the lower limbs, along the sciatic center, with those properties of Balsam of Sulphur. DO NOT use this across the sacral or the lumbar - only in the limbs, see? but massage this thoroughly into the system at least once every other day, cleansing the body (those portions in which this is massaged, see?) after such massaging with a mixture of olive oil and tincture of myrrh - this mixed to-gether. It doesn’t mix very well, except in the cleansing, see? Then sponge off with tepid water.

Across the sacral and lumbar region apply EACH DAY, for at least twelve to fifteen days, for one hour, a hot pack of saturated solution of Epsom Salts. See?

Keep the rest of the system in about the same condition and way this has been kept for some time back. When this has been applied, these two properties, for the twelve to fifteen days, then there would be further instructions as to how the body should be treated to bring about the better physical forces for this body.
