This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 2nd day of July, 1926, in accordance with request made by Mr. [4171], via David E. Kahn.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Dr. T. B. House.]

Time of Reading Drake Hotel, 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Illinois.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Yes, we have those conditions as regards the physical forces of this body, [4569].

  3. Now, we find the general condition of the physical forces of this body rather in the state of nerve depletion and exhaustion than of any organic disturbance, or of that as would ordinarily be called abnormal conditions. While the depletion and the strain in the system affects, to be sure, the whole organism, yet, with this exhaustion, this strain, this continual worry, this continued giving of the individual time to one condition, brings about the normal condition as exists, or the condition the natural result of the expenditure of physical forces in one direction.

  4. Then, the cure or relief is to rest, with plenty of the foods necessary for full recuperation, and not over-balancing with same. Best that the body rest in mountain air, and away from too much turmoil, or too much of the duties of the social nature. Sufficient of such, however, to make the surroundings of the individual compatible and compatible with the condition that is to be changed. Plenty of sunshine and shadows. Plenty of open air, with as little clothes on the body as possible, with as much milk, and of fish, fowl and such nature, as the body can well digest. Close to nature, and, as it were, ROUGH it, rather than hampered in late hours, or carousals, or much of the revelry in late hours. Well that the body rest with the shadows. Early to bed, early to rise. Rest, and fill the day with rest and play. This will bring the greater conditions for the improvement of this body.

  5. Do that.

  6. We are through for the present.
