This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of November, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self through her brother, Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading … School, 10:50 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. L.I., N.Y.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [459], at … School, …, L.I., N.Y. Please inform her whether she should continue the operation of the school or whether she would be better off accepting a position working with some charitable institution in New York and having her home in Westchester County or some other place. Please advise what is best for the future welfare of [459] and her two children. After the general advice, please answer these questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [459]; this we have had before.

3. Now as we find, as has been intimated and given, this type, this class of work is much better for the body than that as might be had working for some others, or in a work of that nature.

4. It is true that thus far the body has not been as consistent in the principles of adapting self and the conditions to meet the needs as has been necessary, owing to the fact that there have been leakages in some quarters; and then the body has allowed itself to be imposed upon by some who have NOT given as much consideration as should be for the work done and the good accomplished.

5. The entity and body then, as we find, and as has been given before, would do well to surround self with individuals, or help, more in accord and in keeping with that which is to be accomplished; and we would find better conditions gradually arising.

6. While there is the possibility, the probability that with the united effort of the sister [Mrs. [460]] - as has been suggested, this would be well; provided there is reached DEFINITE conclusions as to WHAT is to be the DEFINITE work of each! For no institution may have more than one policy.

7. Then, let the policies be worked out by the two; and then the activities adhered to in such manners that the income is not below the outgo, nor the outgo above the income. Cut the pattern properly, and keep within the consistent bonds. For the abilities lie within the direction of carrying on in this character of work.

8. As indicated, if it is consistently done, not only is and will it be better for the body but if it fits the children for their life’s work in a way and manner that might not be accomplished in any other manner.

9. Then, we would give - it is preferable, it is to be desired that there be, in many respects, a right-about-face WITH the general activities. And the program can be set, CAN be worked out where it will be SELF-sustaining.

10. If it is found that this is not plausible, then there may be obtained funds for the school from other channels, provided there is care taken for the certain type of children that are a part of the Jewish program.

11. It is not to be desired that this be done otherwise; or unless the other plan seems or becomes impractical. But if there is the united effort of the two, - one of practical nature, the other of theory and practice, - then there may be that accomplished that as would NOT be alone.

13. (Q) Why has the school been losing proposition every year? (A) As has just been indicated.

14. (Q) Considering the worry and tribulation she has had with it in the past, is [459] justified in running the school? (A) As has been indicated.

15. (Q) How can she improve the present school? (A) As has been indicated.

16. (Q) What is the best school for her to consider for her son, [1856], and her daughter, [2444]? (A) As has been given heretofore, this of course depends to a great measure upon what they have desired and do desire to make of themselves.

17. (Q) In what way can her brother [257] help her best? (A) Only best in advice and counsel, and in setting a policy.

18. (Q) Should she remain in the present location at …, L.I. under the circumstances? (A) As indicated, if this can be made to work in the ORDER as has been given, - without making, of course, too great an overhead for the income.

19. (Q) What might the future hold for her at that spot for a camp next summer? (A) This depends upon the policies. The camp for the summer is well, and pays - but there has been often too great an overhead FOR the income.

It is very well, though, if the policies are set aright.

20. (Q) Would it be better for [459] to live in Westchester County where her brother [257] can look after her affairs more closely and guide her? (A) We do not find it so.

R2. 2/23/40 Brother [257] submitted question to be asked in Ck. Physical 563-5 for another sister: “What can [563] do to help sister [459] out of her problems at … School?”

R3. 12/10/40 “My folks want me to move into the city, go into furniture or any other business, but - this is not a business but an enlarged family group, as you told me ten yrs. ago - ‘The home school.’ Now I am on my own financially, as my family will not send me one piece of furniture as they are against my doing this work. Yet I have a little interest money coming in, now that the children are coming into the age… I have been thinking of giving up the school to please my family, as they feel that I work too hard, but when you love children as I do they are a bundle of sunshine vitamins and the parents are always the problem, not the children…most of the children (our children) are from divorced families, broken up homes, worse than being an orphan.”

F. Rosenblum]?”
