This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 22nd day of July, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [4619].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find this body very good in many respects, yet there are those conditions abnormal in this body that may become very detrimental to the functioning of the physical organism of the body, for we find the condition that is abnormal and needs correcting of the functional nature, which if allowed to become of that nature that it becomes segregated sufficient in the system, would become of a malignant or an inter-constitutional nature, as to produce a detrimental condition to this organism.

3. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, and those as produce the outward effects as are seen at times manifested in the system - a general condition. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find carries many of the drosses that should be eliminated through their proper channels. Hence we have this condition as exists in the capillary circulation, that to the body is both aggravating and displeasing often at times. In the elements of same, we find these then deficient in the white blood supply to meet the needs of the system, also the inability of the blood to be, as it were, drained or strained properly in the emunctories of the system. Hence the over-taxed condition as exists in these organs, as we shall see.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these we find also in that condition of, through which much of the system is in that state of being overtaxed, for there are those centers in the system showing the lesions, in the form of floating lesions; not malignant, not taut, not circular, yet as produce the effect as is seen in the body; yet many portions of the nerve system are very good. Hence the determinations as are set in the physical body, especially in its relations to those pertaining to mental forces and abilities of the body.

6. In the physical forces and the functioning of the organs, we find brain forces very good.

7. Sensory organisms and the organs of same often show the distress under which these portions of the nerve system function. Hence the distress in the organs of sensory system.

8. Throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, very good, except over secretions often are exhibited in many of these. Hence the appearance of catarrhal forces in the nasal passages and cavities.

9. Digestive system shows the reaction as is shown in the digestive system by poor eliminations through the functioning of the spleen, liver and pancreas in the digestive system, on account of over taxation of the excretory forces of each, so that we have an engorged spleen, torpid liver, abnormal in size (below normal) and an expansion, as it were, in the functioning of the lacteal ducts in the upper portion of the intestinal digestive system. Hence the uneasiness, the fullness, that is caused at times. Just after eating, often the distress in the right side of body.

10. High hepatic circulation, with distressed forces in the plexus of hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, each in their turn being affected by overtaxed kidney, overtaxed circulation, through the pelvic organs, and inflammation as is at times produced through the pressure as is caused by lesions in lower lumbar and upper sacral region.

11. Then, to bring the normal forces for this body, we would, through deep manipulation, osteopathically given, take at least ten to twelve such treatments, taking two each week, until the system is adjusted and the excretory forces of system are set more in order.

12. Then, to recuperate, as it were, and give more vital forces to the body, we would use those applications as are found in the Radium Applicator, for the vibrations of same will set the motion of the nerve forces, cleansing blood forces and producing the equilibrium throughout the system for this body, [4619].

13. We are through for the present.

Dear Miss [4619]:

I’m enclosing you, herewith, copy of the reading as gotten this morning. I certainly am in hopes that this proves instructive and beneficial to you as regards your physical condition and welfare; for the improvement of same, I am sure, you will understand the conditions as are set forth. As for the Radium Applicator, this, as I understand, is an appliance that is prepared by the Radium Appliance Company, Bradbury Building, Los Angeles, California. There have been several of these applicators suggested for others, whom I’ve given these readings for. Practically all of these report obtaining results with same. I’m in hopes you will secure one of these and test out its efficiency, along with the osteopathic treatments as are suggested for you.

We thank you for your contribution towards the work of the Association and assure you we desire to be of help if it is at all possible. We shall thank you, therefore, for your cooperation with the work we are trying to do and would appreciate hearing from you from time to time.

Dear Sir:-

I received your reading and I intend to do as you stated in your letter, I shall start taking the treatments next week. I would like to know if I should show the letter to the doctor, or shall I just say I would like to take the treatments.

I would like to make an appointment for my sister, [4618].

R3. 7/27/25 EC’s letter to [4619]:

Dear Miss [4619]:

Replying to yours of the 24th, I’m glad to know that you intend taking up the treatment as was suggested in your reading. I’m sure you will find relief in same.

In this suggestion that I’m going to offer, please know that I’m not trying to cater to any one physician, but am making the suggestion rather in the light of my experience with same and physicians in general. I am sure, if you will carry your reading to Dr. Robert Saxmann, 7300 Princeton Avenue, (he is a chiropractor but has the experience of the osteopath school also), he will be able to give you these treatments in accordance with the suggestions as are made in the reading, and in that case you may give him the reading and he will tell you at once the findings in comparison with same when he makes the examination.

I am enclosing you the letter to be handed to your sister, [Miss [4618]], with the appointment, date and hour. Please have her fill out same and return at once. I was glad also to have the letter from Mr. [68] and I’m sure he will receive benefits from following out the suggestions given.
