This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of August, 1929, in accordance with request made by the self - Capt. [462].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [404] and son, Miss [307], Mrs. King, and friend.]

Time of Reading Dredge Pullen, 3:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.C. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [462]. Now, we find there are rather those conditions of which the body should be warned, and the minor suggestions as regarding same now, than the subsequent conditions that would arise from same, unless these changes were effective in this physical body.

  2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [462] we are speaking of. First:

  3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very good in many respects. There are, however, evidences of disturbances indicated in the character of the circulation itself. The pressure as is produced in same, and the slowing effect as is produced in portions of the body in same, rather than the character of the cell forces themselves. However, evidences are evinced in portions of the system of the sluggishness in this stream.

  4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEMS, here we find the conditions are most apparent of being hidden in the physical forces of the system, from the conditions as are produced in functioning organs. As is seen, those conditions as affect in part the sensory organism, and the organs of same affected thereby. The roaring in head at times; dryness in the mouth at times; the sense of smell accentuated or lacking in its activity. These are evidences of conditions that are being hindered by the amount of nerve energy as is necessary for the proper coordinating of these organs with the rest of the system. These conditions, as we find, are mostly seen in the upper dorsal regions and the lower cervical regions. These hinder the central nervous system in the proper coordinating with the hypogastric and pneumogastric nerve plexuses, and the hindrances come spasmodically. Hence the conditions varying as to the effectiveness of same in system, yet are gradually building barriers that - as is seen - has effected the eliminations for the body. These becoming effective in OTHER portions of the system, as the tendency at times for overactivity, then under activity of the kidneys and the changes as are seen in the lower hepatic circulation. This coldness as experienced in the liver regions, the attempt of the body to adjust itself to the unsatisfactory distribution of energy from the plexus as radiates from the 4th and 3rd dorsal plexus.

  5. THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, as given, show these variations.

  6. Then, to meet the needs of the conditions as we find them:

  7. First we would have at least six to ten OSTEOPATHIC adjustments. Between each of these we would have these vibrations for the system as may be accorded through the sinusoidal ray, applying same to the nerve reaction as will be seen in the region of the 4th cervical plexus to the right of the spinal column, and coordinating with the plexus as is stimulated in the 4th dorsal plexus. These should be alternated from that to those of the liver and the abdominal muscular forces. These, with the proper care of the diet through this period, should bring the better normal conditions for the body.

  8. To aid those conditions existent in throat, bronchials, nasal cavities, we would use those of the inhalant prepared in THIS manner:

  9. To 4 ounces of 85% grain alcohol, add:

Eucalyptol…20 minims, Balsam of Fir, or Canadian Balsam…10 minims, Rectified Creosote…5 minims, Oil of Turp…10 minims, Sweet Spirits of Nitre…3 minims, Tolu in solution…40 minims.

Keep solution in glass corked container at least twice the size of the amount of solution; that is, in at least an 8 ounce container. Only shake solution before the inhalation is to be made. Inhale through nostrils and through mouth, mornings and evenings - and we will find this will aid the conditions as have and do exist there.

  1. This acting, as we find, only as a clarifier, or an antiseptic for the mucus coatings of this portion of system. This tendency, with the vibrations set up by the vibratory forces of the electric treatments, will throw of this effluviative that has been as accumulations in head and throat. [See 462-2, Par. R7.] Ready for questions.

  2. (Q) What is the cause of the rheumatism? (A) The effect of these conditions as are given, coming from the kidneys in their activity.

  3. (Q) What is the cause of the eczema? (A) Improper eliminations. These corrections as we are giving for eliminations will reduce these conditions and eliminate the cause of same. Because irritation becomes more active when these are first applied, do not stop same - but keep up to at least the full amount, and we will find these will be eliminated from system.

  4. (Q) If you dress in all white, can you get the benefit of the healing rays of the sun, the same as if the body were exposed directly? (A) No.

  5. (Q) Why not? (A) For in ANY reaction there is the reflection that prevents the actinic rays from being as effective to the nerve or to the capillary or the vegetative nerve system.

  6. That is all the questions.

  7. Follow these suggestions if we would bring the better conditions for this body of [462]. We are through for the present.
