This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 22nd day of June, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4622].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body, though the general condition is very good. There are some specific conditions that cause distress to the body at times.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4622] we are speaking of. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very good at times. However, there is carried in the system the toxins and these are produced by the improper assimilations. In and during such conditions, the circulation in capillaries show the distress and the attempts of the body to bring about the normal conditions for the body.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find there are specific centers that need attention, for with some conditions existing in the body in times back, when we had some infectious conditions, there were lesions formed in the body that causes these distresses to the various functioning organisms. These need attention. In the specific places, we find in 3rd and 4th cervical, 2nd and 5th dorsal, 2nd lumbar, the dorsal and cervical being the greater, the lumbar rather reflex. In these plexuses the subluxation prevents the proper incentive through nutriment as received by the sympathetic and reaction in cerebro-spinal nerve systems. Hence the clogging at times, the condition as produced in eye, the condition in the digestion and in the intestinal tract.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.

7. In the functioning of the organs of sensory system, in eye, ear and throat, there are times when there apparently is lack of secretions, and the burning sensation as produced by eye, the ringing as is produced in ear, the dryness as in throat, come from lack of the circulation being equalized and the incentive for nerve supply between the coordinating forces of sympathetic and cerebro-spinal system in the cervical region, as given.

8. In the lungs, throat and bronchials, very good. Some teeth, however, need attention. This should be attended to locally. Left side, lower.

9. In the digestive system, the reflexes as are produced at times causing the gas to form, a form of nerve indigestion rather than indigestion - nervous indigestion. This produces a taxation through the mesenteric system and the tendency towards constipation, and the condition as produced in the false pelvis and the organs of pelvis. With the extra secretions as are eliminated from kidneys producing then, through this pelvic action and through the action of the lesions as are formed in the dorsal region, a strain on hypogastric and pneumogastric systems. Hence the dull headaches that come from the eye, the dull pains at times as produced in base of brain and top of head come from the condition in the digestive system. Two different kinds of headaches then as are produced. Pains in the small portion of back, or dull heavy feeling, extra secretions and the attempt of the kidneys to create an equilibrium in the eliminations. Hence we have the toxins as are taken in the system.

10. Then, to rid the body of these conditions and bring the normal effect, we would take those properties in the system, creating an equilibrium, and through deep osteopathic manipulation reduce these conditions as exist in the cerebro-spinal system. Be necessary then to take at least eight to ten of these treatments, taking them every other day. After these have been taken, take these properties:

To 4 ounces of Peptotol, add:

Elixir of Calisaya…1 ounce, Syrup of Sarsaparilla…1/2 ounce, Bromide of Potassium…15 grains, Iodide of Potassium…20 grains, Elixir Celerina…2 ounces.

11. Shake this solution well together when the properties are taken. The dose would be teaspoonful of mornings before meals, of evenings ready to retire, until the whole quantity is taken.

12. Do this. We will bring the body to the normal condition.

13. Take the manipulation and adjustments first, so we have the incentives and the system adjusted for the properties as medicinal properties to be taken in system. These in small quantities. Of Bromides we see acts with the nerve system. Of the Elixir as is carried, of the nerve rebuilder. Of that of the Sarsaparilla as a restrainer and strainer for the blood itself. Of the action of the other properties, as a toner, as it were, rather than sedative, to liver and spleen functioning.

14. We are through for the present.

Replying to yours of the 20th, I am at a loss to understand why your druggist is unable to obtain the Peptotol for you, for as I understand from other prescriptionists, who have filled such prescriptions from time to time from readings given, that this is a common carrier used with other medicinal properties. I feel, however, from other readings that we have had, if you cannot obtain this there, that were you to have them to prepare same with four ounces of simple syrup it would act as well, though I feel sure there must have been some reason, though please understand, I am not a doctor, a prescriptionist, and have never even been a drug clerk, but there are many excellent prescriptionists in various parts of the country who have prepared these properties for me, and I believe, if you will call Mr. Geo. LaBryn, at the Western Union Telegraph Office, Room 308, 427 S. LaSalle, he will be very glad to give you the address of a prescriptionist in Chicago who will be glad to prepare this for you.

I thank you very much for your letter and I appreciate, as I am sure you do, the fact of the care that your druggist desires to make in preparing your prescription. [4622], I’m in hopes, however, this information will assist you in getting this fixed alright, and that you will soon see results from same.
