This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of January, 1927, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. […].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here.
-
Now, we find there are specific conditions as produce the greater abnormality in the physical forces of this body, and the conditions are of that nature that they affect, or the results of the condition cause many disturbances in the mental and the nervous system of the body, and a corresponding reaction through many of the organs of the system.
-
We find that in times back there were lacerations to the womb, and adhesions - that affect the nerve system, especially when the ovum from the system is discharged - that bring on conditions that, in the inability of the system to coordinate through the normal nerve centers affected by these lesions, bring on first hallucinations and repressions to the reaction in brain centers. As the condition has progressed, these have reached greater stages, yet the condition has not reached that stage whereby, were these pressures removed, had the system builded back in nerve energy to that responding in the system, but what the condition could be removed, and the body mentally and normally restored.
-
Then, the operation to straighten the womb and break up lesions there would be necessary.
-
Then apply, both internally and vibratorially, through the Radio-Active Appliance, those properties found in Gold Chloride and Sodium.
-
These would bring about the normal conditions for the body.
-
Do that.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/12/27 EC wrote: “My advice would be for you to make an appointment with Dr. Talley [Dyer F. Talley, M.D.]. He used to have a private hospital there in Birmingham. I don’t know which one of the institutions he is associated with now. Talk to him about the conditions, show him the reading and see if he can’t give you an outline of the manner and way to proceed… Dr. Talley knows of the readings, as he has heard some of them himself.”
R2. 4/4/27 Husband wrote: “I took her to Dr. Talley’s hospital in B’ham but he said that he couldn’t do any better for her than they can at the Tuscaloosa asylum.”
R3. 10/12/37 Alfred D. Butler’s letter to EC: “In one of your recent letters you asked if Dr. Dyer F. Talley was still in Birmingham. When Leonora was in Birmingham in July she had occasion to go to the Talley home. So he is still there and practicing. My aunt, Julia Dainwood, visited them this summer on her trip from Oklahoma. I do not, however, know his professional nor his home address, except that he lives across the street from the Weather Bureau in Fountain Heights, a subdivision of Birmingham, and that his office is somewhere in Norwood. Doubtless you could secure the address from a phone book the next time you go to Norfolk if you have occasion to get in touch with him; that is I believe the larger phone offices have such information available for the more important towns. On the other hand a letter directed simply to Birmingham might catch him, as he is a landmark, and perhaps well known to the post office officials there.”

B1. 11/19/26 Husband wrote: “I have found out that you could cure insane people, so I thought I would write and ask you first, what charges you would make to cure my wife. She became insane during the time of the World War. She read the newspapers telling about the war. She is now in the insane hospital at Tuscaloosa, Ala. She is never satisfied being at one place a long time, she likes to roam about very much. She is in bad health also.”
B2. 12/9/26 He sent $5 as a contribution and verified the appointment for his wife.
