This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4627].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

  3. Now, we find there are those conditions in the physical forces of the body that cause distress in a mental and physical way and manner, and these may be corrected - yet, would these bring the better conditions to the body, the mental attitude towards others would of necessity be corrected first.

  4. Condemn not others! Neither condemn self, for these are not in accord with those conditions that would bring either a physical or a mental condition that would be well pleasing, or MERITING a normal functioning, even in this MATERIAL world.

  5. In the physical forces we find there are specific conditions that need correcting - yet, as given, these will not give to the system that necessary vital force as will bring to the body the best physical condition until the mental forces are such that the Creative Energy does not poison the body - for Mind is the Builder, and until there can be some conception of the constructive nature in the mental and physical reaction, there is the continual warring between the mental and the spiritual attributes of a physical body, and especially is this true in THIS body, as we find same here.

  6. The better condition to be met in the body at the present time would be attained through the study of those precepts as are found in that called Unity, or Christian Science, and ONLY with the full awakening of the necessity of the body creating a constructive force - and bringing those of the positive rather than the negative forces for the body - will the body REMAIN in an easy or a constructive way and manner.

  7. The corrections as may be attained will of necessity be of the mechanical nature. However, with the proper study of science and health, or by the proper coordinating with vibrations as are set from the study of Unity, and of physical exercise night and morning - consistent and persistent, with a gentle massage after each exercise - which would be of the setting-up nature - with cold rub down along the spine - we would find the body will respond in the physical way and manner, and the mental conditions of the body become so adjusted and attuned to those conditions that are to be met from day to day as to bring to the body those of the better conditions in the physical life.

  8. DO that! Study to show thyself approved unto Him, for in Him is the light, and in Him is health, strength, and endurance, and the peace that passeth all understanding rest and abide with you!

  9. We are through.
