My dear Mr. Cayce:-

I am in receipt of your telegram to my residence and I answered same which no doubt you have received by this time. I am very anxious to receive your second telegram of the final results which will be very valuable to me.

I am enclosing a check for the amount of $15.00 towards the membership and may I take this opportunity of thanking you for all the assistance you have shown towards me.

Dear Mr. [4639]

While you already have the information as is given, still we feel we had rather each individual have the original copy as transcribed by the stenographer.

I know nothing concerning the circumstances and conditions surrounding your questions, Mr. [4639] but - from my experience with readings of this character - this was not expressed in the proper way and manner for you to have gotten even the best results from a reading of this nature - and I consciously did not know enough concerning what you wanted to know to change the wording of the question that would bring it out in more detail. I am trusting, however, that you have gotten sufficient to know just how well the information given fits up with circumstances or surroundings, or WILL know by the outcome of same.

In readings of this character, I feel it is very much better that the individual be present - and while I know this is not always possible, still everyone should have sufficient knowledge concerning the phenomena to get the best results from same.

We acknowledge receipt of your check for 15.00, but - as you will see from the enclosed data - the membership to the Association entitling one to a reading is 20.00. We credit you with the 15.00, and hope that we may have your application as a member of [[A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment)|the Association]]. While a membership card at the present may mean little, yet we feel that anyone that really desires to study the phenomena of life through such sources will have the opportunity of their life when [[A.R.E. As you will see, this was out of order in giving the reading until you were a member - and of course it would not have been done except for the seeming urgency of the case and your association with Mr. Kahn.

I was sure disappointed to learn from Dave Kahn that you would not be in town for another week.

As I am very anxious to have the reading before the time you arrive, I am enclosing a check for the amount of $10.00 and a list of questions which I wish you would kindly answer for me as soon as possible.

It will give me great pleasure to welcome you to our city. I have discussed the matter regarding your association with several of my friends and they are likewise very anxious to take it up with you in person. I had a phone message from our mutual friend Mr. Klee who is also very anxiously awaiting your arrival.

May I ask if it is necessary for you to have me at a certain hour and at a certain place? If you will kindly wire me to my home address, …, N.Y. collect, I will be glad to comply with all your wishes.

This is a matter of importance and that is the reason I am not waiting for your arrival but will take this matter up again with you in person.
