R1. 7/6/28 EC’s letter to [4639]:
Dear Mr. [4639]:
Your letter was just received, and at the first opportunity we got the information - which has been mailed to you.
I have often thought, Mr. [4639], from the information which has been given from time to time, that it would be very well for us to get to-gether and talk these things over. Possibly if you had a better insight into what it’s trying to tell you, you would be able to better apply the information given in what you are trying to do from day to day. I’m sure, while the information may not be as helpful to you as you expect, or have expected - that is, being definite in what you should go about - it at least remains consistent in the idea and purpose, and I believe - if that’s once understood - it would be quite helpful. I certainly hope and trust, though, that you will be able to apply it in a way that will be quite beneficial.
Hoping I may have the opportunity to see you and talk with you, and that you will let us hear from you from time to time, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
[Dictated but not read]
R2. GD’s note: On 7/5/28 the notation is made on EC’s Red Date Book, in MD’s handwriting, opposite the listing of 4639-3: “Missing - all readings taken by EC to N.Y.” It is not clear as to the time these were taken to N.Y., although EC did spend a few days in N.Y. beginning 9/27/28. He evidently took them to N.Y. on a visit to discuss with Mr. [4639] and Dave Kahn.
R3. 6/10/60 GD’s letter to DEK: By the way, Dave, do you remember three business readings that were had by your cousin (?), [4639]? We do not have a copy of these readings on file here. There is a notation that Mr. Cayce took these readings to New York to discuss with you at the time and we never got them back. It may be that you have them in your own file there. It would be great if you do and could send them to us. I could now duplicate them and send you back a copy if you wish. Now that we are preparing all of the readings on film and on master copies from which to duplicate, it would be a shame to have these readings come up missing, or any readings that we could possibly get into the files before it is too late.

B1. 6/26/28 [4639]‘s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce,
Enclosed please find my application for a reading. Will you please wire me collect, when reading will take place and I will notify you by wire where I will be at that time.
Please answer the following questions:
- Do you think proposition relating to 42nd St. will materialize and will it be in the near future? Will I be successful in this venture?
- Can you give me any other advice as to what methods I should pursue to establish my future?
- Do you advise any other channels?
- Do you think my opportunities would be more successful outside of N.Y. City?
- Would I be successful if I engaged myself in manufacturing or retail line, which do you advise?
- Do you think I am fitted to engage in the brokerage business?
Would appreciate an immediate reading as it is a very critical moment in my career and I feel I need your advice. Dave Kahn advised me to seek your advice.
B2. 7/5/28 EC gave the third business reading, of which there is no copy in A.R.E. files, the questions for which were submitted 6/26/28 are listed above.
