This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of December, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [464], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis, L. B. and Hugh Lynn Cayce.]

Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [464]. Much might be said about the changes that are in the physical forces of the body in the present, from that we have had here before - [464]. Much is improved. Much is in the same ATTITUDE that has been exhibited in the past.

  2. Yet, as we find, there should be kept the suggestions that have been given for the proper consideration of the physical activities of the body and the diet; not as an obligation or a hardship but as a necessary influence for betterment to the general physical conditions of the body.

  3. If the attitude is held that it is a hardship, that it is a condition which prevents the physical body from enjoying itself, the aid that might be received is more than half undone.

  4. Rather it should be the ENJOYMENT of the body to adjust itself physically that the betterment mentally and spiritually may have the better temple for activity in this material plane.

  5. It should be recognized that there is a vast difference in this attitude and in mere rote that such and such may come about, or “Maybe it will and maybe it won’t, but anyhow it prevents me from enjoying life as I would want to!”

  6. For, all activities of the mind and the spiritual forces of a body are of its own will.

  7. There are still those portions where segmentations have caused and do cause the greater distress, by the closeness of the segments in the lower portion of the cerebro-spinal system, particularly in the lower dorsal and through the lumbar area; and the tendency for the body to give to one side, from the closeness or from the cartilaginous forces being so taut.

  8. These portions will be materially aided by a rub occasionally, once a week - sometimes once in ten days, compounded in this manner and used for a sufficient period for the body to absorb the properties in the ingredients:

  9. To four ounces of Russian White Oil, add:

Rub Alcohol…1 ounce, Witchhazel…1/2 ounce, Oil of Turp…15 minims, Sassafras Oil…20 minims.

When the solution is left standing there will be the tendency for the separation of these properties in the container. So, when it is to be used, shake well together before a small quantity would be poured in a saucer or shallow dish. Massage it particularly in the sacral, lumbar and lower dorsal area; rubbing gently, not slap dab on and get rid of it - but rub gently, so that the body absorbs the properties. Rub for at least five to fifteen minutes; not hard, not scrubbing, not like you’re rubbing up floors or anything like that - but GENTLY. Massage it into the segments along the spine - sacral, lumbar and lower dorsal area.

  1. Keep the attitude of expectancy of GOOD, and HEALTH coming to the body - and much better conditions will arise.

  2. Ready for questions.

  3. We are through with this reading.
