This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Phillips Hotel, Dayton, Ohio, this 6th day of June, 1923.

Time of Reading 12:00 Noon …, Ohio.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now we find there are some abnormal conditions in this body, though the body is very good in the recreative forces and meets the resistance with the necessary force to produce the life-giving force to the body. The abnormal condition has to do principally with those of the nerve forces as attack by outside force and in the eliminating elements of the trunk portion of the body and the functioning in the organs of elimination.

2. Now these are conditions as we find in this body, Dr. [4643] present in this room: The blood supply throughout the body is very good, and the replenishing force to create the blood flow is near normal. The leukocyte and red blood forces that create the elementals necessary for vital force are good. The white blood in its destructive force of used vibratory forces or of functioning organs is above the normal to meet the conditions as we have given, created, of course, within itself.

3. The nerve forces of the body are very good in their replenishing from the system. In the force where the destructive elements have come in contact with the nerve ends and has created the new vibration above that of the normal for the portion of the body so affected as to cause the vibration in that portion to throw off the used forces faster than of natural means. In this we have the abnormal condition in the cuticle and the outer portion of the nerve ends in that portion of body, see. Just as we have through the hepatic circulation that of the vibration or force that prevents the perfect elimination with the vibration set in motion, but the excess in the body and hepatics become above and below, see, at various times. Their correct vibrations, see, hence the condition that arises at times through the kidneys and bladder, and is that also through the functioning of the excretory forces of the liver producing the elimination to excess, you see.

4. In the functioning of the organs themselves we find most of these very good. The cerebro-spinal system functions properly. The sympathetic, over and above the normal effect, meeting resistive forces. The sensory organism showing the reflex force in the body by meeting with the correct vibrations in cerebro-spinal forces overcame the condition to a great extent. The lung forces good. The heart action with the condition of the hepatic circulation forcing the pressure in its action to meet those condition. The digestive tract, showing the correct forces as used and needed for the system. The functioning of the liver and hepatics, as we have given, see.

5. To correct the condition in the vibration to the left portion of the body or through the arm forces and hands here, you see, we would apply those of vibration outside that will give the balance of force in the system to create the correct vibration in the body and force the normal condition, see. This is not eating in, you see, for the resistive forces are met by the sympathetic condition, and it becomes the reaction between sympathetic and cerebro-spinal forces, the breaking of tissue over-abundant of vibration as set in motion by this particular portion of the body. It must be met by the local condition, see, take this:

6. To six (6) ounces, see, of Plantain root, no leaves, add six (6) ounces of distilled water. Reduce by simmering, not boiling, until it is almost the jellied condition, strain, add sufficient Oil of Butter Fat to make whole congeal. Use as an application to the affected parts in evenings when the vibration is to be renewed by the rest of the system. Do not bind or cover except as to prevent from soiling of linens, see.

7. For the condition through the trunk portion to produce elimination, exercise of the character that affects the diaphragm reaction and of the lumbar and locomotories through the portion of the body. Do that, [4643] present in this room.

8. (Q) Mr. Cayce, what kind of exercise should be taken by this body? (A) Those that are for the trunk portion of the body. You understand here, you see. Those that move the diaphragm up and down. Those that come to the abdomen and affect the locomotories, here.

9. (Q) Mr. Cayce, please explain just exactly what kind or form of exercise this body should take? (A) Lying prone, and the movement of the body and the lower limbs, see.

10. (Q) How long should this treatment be kept up, Mr. Cayce? (A) The use of one quantity as given will overcome the condition in the body.

11. (Q) What kind of vibrations do you mean, Mr. Cayce? (A) The vibrations from the application of the plantain and of the Oil, which neutralizes the over-vibrations of the condition. These present vibrations, you see. These are the ones to be used. Do that.

12. (Q) What first started this trouble on the hands, Mr. Cayce? (A) Those of over-vibrations and causing the excess to be shown or exhibited in the hands, here, see.

13. (Q) Are they cancers? (A) Do as we have given. We are through.
