-
MHB: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here.
-
Now, we find there are many abnormal conditions with this body. There are those conditions that may be corrected in the physical forces of this body. These have to do with the resistance as is necessary to create in the physical functioning of the body.
-
Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4645], we are speaking of.
-
First: IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below the normal in resistance. Also carrying in same those bacilli that are destructive to the red blood and white blood corpuscles. Hence the wasting away of tissue in various portions of the muscular forces in the body.
-
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find, with the weakened condition in the general system, shows the effect of same in the nerve systems.
-
IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, brain forces very good.
-
Organs of the sensory system show accentuation by an over nerve supply in the sympathetic system. That is, keen sighted, quick hearing, low in feeling; yet the resistances in these portions show how such accentuation takes place.
-
In throat, bronchials, lungs and larynx.
-
In the throat we find some inflammation and the effect of the blood supply’s deficiency, as is seen also in the lung.
-
While there are those conditions existent where cells have been closed, by the bacilli as was brought into the system through the inhalations and through those of congestion, these are closed cells by the leukocytes in the system, and with this reduced vitality brings the system under the influence of the inflammation created by the lack of the oxygen as is necessary to cleanse the system by closed cells.
-
In the digestive system - this we find coming under the stress of the poor circulation, then causing the irregular elimination, and the assimilations hindered in poor elimination. This, then, aggravates rather than any other in the system, for with same the liver becomes clogged by the supply of the system’s secretion being improperly distributed through the digestive system. In this same manner we find the kidneys overtaxed by the condition in hepatics.
-
In the heart’s action, this near normal, with the respiration above the normal.
-
In the system’s forces below the digestive system, we find these show strain by the action of an overtaxed system through the organs of the generatory system, especially in those of the prostate gland.
-
In the bringing about then that which would give relief to the system, would be necessary that those properties be added that would stimulate the circulation to that extent as to keep the cells that are closed still encased until the vitality of the body was such as to overcome same, by the proper stimulation of the elimination in the rebuilding in the cycle of organs involved.
-
The beginning of the troubles, as we see then, was by that of a depleted circulation first. Then the attack in the system of cold and congestion, through the organs of the generatory system, then of the lungs proper.
-
To bring the normal condition, then, to this body, we would use as this:
-
First the eliminations must be kept at the high state, without creating inflammation in any of the mucus linings of the digestive system, either in the pancreas, duodenum, or in the intestinal tract. Otherwise there would be just the transfer of that congestion as attacking the pulmonary and the organs of the pelvis.
-
In the system, then, we would take those inhalations as would be found in this: To 6 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:
Eucalyptol…20 minims, Benzosol…5 minims, Canadian Balsam…5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Heroin…1/60 grain, Tincture of Tolu (in solution)…30 minims.
Shake solution well together, keeping in glass stopper container. Inhale deep in the lungs at least five times each day, or when necessary to prevent coughing, or from nausea.
-
The diet shall consist principally of Beef juices and of oils. All the Olive Oil the system will assimilate not sufficient to ever become rancid in the body. Leave off when such begins. Begin, then, with 10 to 20 drops twice each day, increasing until at least 2 teaspoonsful at a time may be taken.
-
Use high enemas at least once each week to cleanse the colon, and prevent the system from any toxic poisons from same.
-
The foods shall be vegetable, with the beef juices. As much eggs and milk as will assimilate - these preferably being taken in the raw state, with the milk.
-
Keep in the open air.
-
Only use whole wheat bread.
-
No stimulants of coffee or tea. Light wines may be used. The system needs to build the resistive forces in the body.
-
Well, after this has been kept up for 2 to 3 weeks, that the Radio-Active Appliance carrying iron be used in this condition, to give strength to the body.
-
Do that, [4645].
-
We are through for the present.
(7/25/26 GD’s notes: The Radio-Active Appliance may be ordered from: Mr. T. B. Brown, Brookins Mfg. Co., Dayton, Ohio. This is manufactured by Mr. Brown.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/26/26 EC’s letter to [4645]‘s mother: “I have yours of July 21st, with the request for the reading for your son. I had not expected to be able to give you this report so soon, for it is very rare that we ever make a reading on Sunday, for we find that I must have some rest, for you can well imagine that this is rather a mental strain that my body must undergo in giving these readings, but we found occasion to get this in yesterday afternoon, and I am enclosing you herewith the copy of same. I believe that you will find in this that which will prove very beneficial to your son. I believe that you can have this prescription prepared by the Sellers Drug Company, 4th Avenue & 20th Street, Birmingham, Alabama, for this company has prepared a great many of the prescriptions that have been given from time to time.
“As you will see from the note on the bottom of the reading, you will be able to obtain the Radio-Active Appliance from Mr. T. B. Brown of the Brooking Mfg. Co., Dayton, Ohio.
“Now I am in hopes, Mrs. […] that you have gained sufficient information from the little pamphlet to encourage you sufficiently that you will carry out the suggestions to the letter, as have been given for your son, for you can readily see there is certainly nothing in this that could prove detrimental to the cure he is already undergoing. Nothing, I mean that would conflict in any way with that he is doing, and I feel rather a personal interest in this condition, for it is something similar to that as was described in my wife, that first led me to consider seriously the information that might be obtained in these readings, and I know by experiences how necessary it is to follow these suggestions, and I assure you we would like to keep in touch with you from time to time, and when you begin this, we would like to occasionally check up - that is, give another reading; let you prepare any questions, or your physician have or prepare any questions he would like to ask respecting the condition, for I believe, from the experience that others have had, that through this means you will be able to see your son gain his normal health, and I certainly desire of course, to be the channel, if possible, through which some of this aid might come.
“As to remuneration, this, as you have seen from the pamphlet, is left entirely with the individual, as a love offering, or as a contribution toward the work that we are trying to do. The contributions are to aid me in being able to give this work to others who desire same, and we ask that people contribute according to their means and their abilities.
“Hoping to have been of service, and trusting to have as good a report from you soon as I have had from hundreds and thousands of others…”
R2. 7/28/26 Morton H. Blumenthal’s letter: ”…[4181] called me up and said he had an appointment… Hope the reading is as thorough and specific as the one given for [4645]…”
R3. 9/26 ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL INVESTIGATORS Questionnaire completed by [4645]‘s mother:
Kindly advise us in the space below if you have followed all, or any part of the suggestions given in your reading of July 25, 1926, and give us in detail the exact results you have obtained.
“In my letter to Mr. Cayce I told him my son’s trouble was in upper part of left lung. The prescription he sent I was unable to get filled locally. A letter to a druggist he advised would fill it received no acknowledgment. My son’s condition is same as previous to reading. Apparently he is well and has been all the time, but runs slight temperature in afternoons.”
R4. 9/16/26 EC’s letter to [4565]‘s mother: “We are in receipt of the report, sent to the Association, as regarding your son’s condition. I feel that you are in your own light in not having this prescription prepared and at least give it a tryout.
“Now, I don’t want to try to convince you of something that you don’t want to be convinced of, or to try to get you to subscribe to something that you have no faith or confidence in. You certainly are aware that the prescription as was given CAN be compounded. I don’t just understand why you didn’t hear from the druggist that we suggested that you write to, but I feel that if you would try this out once, that you, like so many thousands of others that have TRIED it out, would get results! I think you at least owe that much to your son, having gone as far as you have. I assure you it’s our desire to be of help if possible. Won’t you at least try this and let us hear from you again…”
R5. 9/18/26 [4645]‘s mother’s letter to EC: “Referring to yours of September 16, 1926 I wish to say I made several efforts to have your prescription filled in vain. The druggist whose address you furnished never acknowledged my letter. If you will have him fill the prescription and forward to me, I shall be only too glad to try it. No local druggist would take the order…”
R6. 9/21/26 EC’s letter to [4645]‘s mother: “Replying to yours of the 18th, I am at a loss to understand why you did not receive a reply from the drug company that I gave you the address or to send the prescription to. I’m sure the letter must have miscarried in some way or manner. I will offer this suggestion, however, and ask you please to write to Dr. T. B. House, Rural Route #2, Box 20, Hopkinsville, Ky., send him the reading, and ask him to have the prescription prepared for you. I feel sure he will attend to it, and I believe your son will obtain results from the use of it. I hope you will do this…”
R7. 9/21/26 EC’s letter to Dr. House: ”…As you will possibly remember, we gave a reading, I believe when Blumenthal was here, for a boy [4645] in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The request was from a Mrs. […]. She writes me, as many others have, as you know, that she has been unable to get the prescription prepared. Recently I wrote her and suggested that she write to you direct, sending the whole reading to you, that I thought you could have the prescription prepared for her. Hope you’ll attend to this if you do hear from her. Let me know what she has to say and what you think of the prescription, etc…”
