This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of May, 1928, in accordance with request made by self and Mr. [195].

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce and Dr. Thos. B. House.]

Time of Reading 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

  1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [4666] of …, Ohio. You will also have the old home where [4666] spent his youth, situated on the west side of Third Ave., between 1st and 2nd Sts., in …, Alabama. Also a diagram of this lot, which I hold in my hand. You will interpret dream that came to the body relative to buried treasure on this property, and answer questions relative to same, and to the diagram which I hold in my hand. The dream, as follows: When eight or nine years old, at home: That 40 ft. West from large oak tree in front of lot was buried, 4 ft. below surface, 2 large copper pots, filled with gold and precious stones. Again at … in …, Ohio, on the morning of April 16,* 1928, had similar dream. [See 4665-4 Reports.]

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [4666] - this we have had before. Also the dream as had by this body respecting buried treasure on the lot at the home where body [was] reared, in …, Alabama.

  3. These and the surrounding conditions are much to be considered in one group, and will possibly need some dissertation to properly understand the situations and conditions.

  4. First we have to consider the impelling influence in the life of the individual, and those forces as applied to those conditions relating to such information as seen in dream or vision.

  5. Much has been given respecting the abilities of the individual [4666] in this relation, and the truths as might be obtained through the information gained by the entity through such sources.

  • [It is difficult to determine in Mr. [195]‘s letter whether he wrote 10 or 16 as the date of the dream of Mr. [4666]. In Par. 7 of this reading, the date given is April 10th.]
  1. As seen, there has existed such a treasure, and the location [is] near unto correct. There is not, as we see, such a treasure in this specific location at the present - same having been removed.

  2. Then, there naturally arises the question - then why the second vision as seen on April 10th by the entity? [See Par. 1, above.] Here we would find - in the analysis of that visioned - that rather the forces were giving the entity the warning, that - unless there was more heed given to the information that was supplied to the entity through the sources, the results would be those as experienced with that visioned in the first attempt to give the entity sources through which there might come the property that would bring changed circumstance to the entity.

  3. Then, no need to seek for the treasure in this location. Rather treasure that as is in hand, [See subsequent readings on his invention under [4665] series.] applying same to the needs of the hour - see? Ready for questions. [After pause] We are through.
