This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of June, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self, through wife, Mrs. [1100], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [470]; this we have had before.

  2. As we find, conditions are very good in many ways in the system. While we still have some inclinations, or tendencies, we find that these may be met in ways without a great deal of the applications even as we have had heretofore.

  3. The inclination for the lack of the full or perfect eliminations now, as we find, would be better met in a compound prepared in this matter:

  4. To 16 ounces of Distilled Water add 2 ounces of Ambrosia Weed (or Ragweed). Reduce this to about half the quantity. Strain. Then add 2 ounces of Honey, that has been boiled and strained - or skimmed, you see. Also then we would add 4 ounces of Gordon Gin - regular, see?

  5. The dosage would be a teaspoonful after each meal.

  6. This will make for better assimilation and better eliminations.

  7. We do not find it necessary in the present, or even desirable, to take more of the Clary Water.

  8. It is well that the manipulations be given occasionally, and that there be precautions regarding taking cold or getting overheated or the like.

  9. This compound will tend to prevent the greater increase in the weight, by better eliminations.

  10. If the body will use the Ry-Krisp or such mostly as the bread, and take before the evening meal at least half to an hour before, two ounces of Grape Juice with one ounce of carbonated water, this would materially reduce the desire for foods that tend to produce flesh.

  11. Keep away, of course, from the high starches.

  12. Ready for questions.

  13. (Q) How often would you suggest the osteopathic treatments be taken? (A) This would be governed more by the general circumstance. Whether it be once in two weeks or once a week, it would depend upon the general feelings of the body. A work-out with a sweat once a week would be preferable, unless there are other contingencies arising that are not indicated in the present.

  14. (Q) Anything else the body can do to reduce weight without injuring the health? (A) These as we find are the correct manners in the present.

  15. (Q) Any other advice for the body? (A) These as we find for the present, unless other conditions or circumstances arise.

  16. We are through for the present.
