EC: Mr. [4725] yes we have him here, we have had him before, we find, the body some what improved from what we have before, the distribution of nerve force and energy is being better distributed than what we had before, there has not been enough of the exercise to properly absorb the lesion in the cervicals as yet it will be better if these are kept up, and give more attention to those exercises that have to do with the muscles of the cervical region especially those at the 3rd, 4th and 5th cervical.
-
And we shall find that the trouble will gradually disappear, the exercise of the mind as given, too, should be adhered to; that is, he should not give a hearing to the thought that his hearing is going to be impaired by this continual ringing or roaring in the ears, as the active principles of the Sanatogen have acted on the rebuilding organism of the protoplasmatic cells so the action of the mind will act on the nerve cellular force if not directed properly, will the body to rid itself of all hindrances to the perfect health of the body and it will succeed in driving out of the system all harmful cells no matter what they carry,
-
Let him do these things in a sympathetical frame of mine rather than a diabolical, as he is prone to do, not as a matter coure [course?] they must move, but it is best for them to move from the system they now occupy,
-
He will strictly adhere to this and he will gradually improve, until the body will be perfectly normal and in better health than it has ever been before.

R1. 1/22/18 [4725]‘s ltr. to EC [Letter evidently crossed reading in the mails]:
Mr. Edgar Cayce, Selma, Alabama
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I was much pleased this morning to receive your favor of the 18th inst., but regret exceedingly to note the cause of your delay in writing me. I trust that ere this Mrs. Cayce is much improved, and that you will now be able to drop back into your usual routine.
Suppose you make an appointment for me for Tuesday next, the 29th inst., here at the office at 4:30. Hope this will suit your convenience and I shall be very pleased to hear from you in due course.
In my last letter I stated that I had followed out the exercise scheduled faithfully. I should have modified this and said faithfully at night; I am afraid that in the morning I have quite frequently cut the time short. I will say that the trouble with my ears is improved, and I believe particularly so during the last few weeks.
Looking forward to your further favors, and with my best regards I remain
