This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by her sister, Miss […], via George LaBryn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions; giving the reason for loss of hair and relief for its restoration. Also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have these conditions here as regarding this body, [4736].

3. Now, we find there are some deep-seated conditions as produce the distress in the body, and these have to do with conditions as have existed in the body in times back, also with that of more recent conditions, that has produced the exaggeration of the conditions that bring about this bacilli in the blood, and especially to that portion which produces that cell, or unit of cell in system, that rebuilds those portions of the cuticle that terminate in the growth of hair on the body; though, as we see, there are other various conditions, some more deep-seated, that bring about this trouble. These, as we see, have to do with conditions that have been some unsavory for the body, physically, mentally, morally.

4. In this then, we find as these conditions that should be applied to the body at the present time, in respecting this existent condition.

5. We would prepare and take this into the system:

To 1 gallon of rain water, add:

Sarsaparilla Root…2 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Prickly Ash Bark…1 ounce, Yellow Dock Root…1 ounce, Poke Root…1/4 ounce, Mandrake Root…30 grains, Buchu Leaves…15 grains, Sassafras Root…1 ounce.

6. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to 1 quart. Strain while warm and add 4 ounces pure grain alcohol, with 2 drams Balsam of Tolu cut in it. The dose of this would be teaspoonful 4 times each day, taken before meals and before retiring.

7. For the condition as exists in the cuticle, we would apply those vibrations of the violet ray, especially that as is prepared with the comb for the head, see? and over other portions of body where the distresses come to the cuticle, we would apply that of the Cuticura Ointment, with the addition OVER this of plain baking soda, see? just sprinkled or dusted over it.

8. Do that, and we will bring much better conditions for this body. When this full quantity - the FULL quantity - has been taken, then, with the conditions existent, we would give further suggestions for the full improvement and correction of conditions in this body. Do that at present.

9. We are through.

I certainly am in hopes that this will prove very helpful and beneficial to your sister. I appreciate your interest in the matter, from what you have been told, perhaps by Mr. LaBryn. I’d be glad if you would let me hear from time to time, as I would like to know how she progresses under the suggestions as are given. You will please fill out the enclosed forms and return for our file, and oblige.”
