This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of November, 1927, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4741] via Mrs. [4691].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes.

3. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions in the physical forces of this body. These date back to conditions existent in times back and an improper treatment of the body when there existed conditions having to do with the generatory system and the discharges from same. Irritation first begun, then that of ulcerations, and when caustic or cauterized conditions used, these accentuated the condition; yet it is not wholly separated into a malignant condition as yet, and with care, attention, and the proper eliminations kept in the physical forces of the body, we see that much help may be brought to the body toward correcting or at least alleviating the suffering and bringing a much better condition to the physical functioning of the body.

4. In this manner, then, we find the general physical system of Mrs. [4741]:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this shows the nature and the character of the condition, minus that of the malignant nature, for those bacilli as are discharged are of the different nature from that where wholly malignant troubles have set in; for we find that malignant wholly is an organism that has set up a growth within itself independent of the system, other than as a parasite toward same, drawing from, or absorbing, CONSUMING the organs or portion of system to which it becomes attached or attaches itself.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this shows much stress and strain, both through the cerebro-spinal and the sympathetic system. The dread of the condition and the outcome brings as much suffering as the condition itself.

7. IN THE PHYSICAL FUNCTIONING, most of the organs, as we find, are in very good condition, save where the system shows reaction toward that existent in the pelvic organs, or the condition in vagina and the womb itself. These show the ulcerations and effect of lacerations. The application of Radium has been beneficial, yet this in itself produced conditions that are not so well at present, for the plethora condition existent from same.

8. In THIS manner would we apply forces for the body at the present, until we may gain a better reaction through rest of body and mind toward the physical condition.

9. Use under the direction of physician (for it may not be applied in any other way and manner) that of RADIUM WATER as the internal forces for the system, see?

10. Use the electrical driven vibrator to relax the system all along the cerebro-spinal system, using the sponge appliance over the lower portion of body; that is, across the lumbar and sacral region.

11. Use the warm douche with CREOLIN at least once or twice each week, OFTENER when irritation shows.

12. Take at least TEN DOSES of the Radium Water and the treatments as go with same each day; that is those forces - though the Radium Water will be changed by the physician to meet the needs of the histology and of the conditions in the system. After the ten doses have been taken - that is, they may not be taken each day, or they may be taken each day - but after ten doses we would give further suggestions for this body. Dr. Tally may give this.

R1. 11/12/27 EC’s letter: “I enclose the rdg. as gotten this morning. I am certainly hoping that the suggestions given will prove helpful and beneficial to you. I am hoping now to be in Birmingham about the last of this month or first of December. I trust I’ll have the opportunity at that time to see you and talk over the situation with you. I assure you it’s our desire to be of help if possible, and I trust we may be able to do so.”

R2. 11/27 Questionnaire:

REMARKS - “The reading fits my case as I understand it. I called Dr. Talley and he does not give Radium Water treatment, and doesn’t know anything about it, only read of it. I also ask my Dr. (Dr. G. A. Hogan) about it, he doesn’t know anything much about it, only read of it. He also said it is very expensive - if that be true I would not be able to buy it. I have been using creolin for 3 yrs. twice a day as a wash. I hope to see you when you come to Birmingham.”

R3. 12/14/27 Letter: ”…Would you please send me the ten dollars you promised to return me when you would visit Birmingham the first of this month. I did not hear from you, so I judged you did not come. I need the money to continue my radium treatments. The reading is of no help to me since no-one here knows of what you advised me to use. I hope you will give this your immediate attention and oblige…”

R4. GD’s note: She had sent in 10.00 in addition to her 20.00 membership fee, misunderstanding the application and EC had written her that this amount would be returned.

R5. 12/22/27 EC:s letter: ”…Replying to yours of the 14th, I had expected to be in Birmingham before this - but enclosed you will find check for $10.00.

“I am sorry to know you feel the information given is not helpful or beneficial. I am sure there must be such a treatment. We have never yet found a reading giving one that could not be obtained.

B1. 10/4/27 Letter: ”…Your treatments have been recommended to me by Mrs. [4691] of …, Alabama. I am now writing to get a rdg. on my case. The doctor says I have cancer of the womb. They have given me three treatments of radium in about three years time and I am now thinking of giving the fourth. The first treatment stopped menstruation and the third, inhaling up, has just about closed the vagina completely. I would be glad to get your advice in my case, and treatment…”

B2. 10/25/27 Letter: ”…Your letter received, also literature from the Assoc. I am not in a position to send membership fees at this time. I have been taking radium treatments which, as you know, are very expensive, but if you will give me a rdg. for $10.00 I will send the money as soon as I hear from you. Will you please do this and cure me of this incurable disease, or advise me how to get well, or relieve my suffering…”

B3. 10/28/27 EC’s letter: ”…Replying to yours of the 25th, it isn’t our purpose to prevent anyone from getting information through these sources. Our rule though, of course, is only to members may we give the information. Should you desire to make a payment on a membership, why we shall be glad to go ahead and make the appointment. I realize that there are times when individuals have been put to so much expense that it is rather a hardship to pay out that much at once. But, if you would send the contribution toward the membership, why we shall be glad to see what we can do. I sincerely hope that if you decide to do this that we may be of service. Of course, as you know from the data that has been sent you, I cannot make anyone a promise - for I do not know myself what is even said until after it is done - but we shall be very glad to try and be of help…”

B4. 11/3/27 Letter from [4741]: ”…I have managed in some way to get all the membership fee at one time, in order that I can get a reading at once to relieve me of my suffering and worry. I hope to hear from you as quickly as possible…”
