This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of June, 1926, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. […].

Time of Reading 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, N.Y.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Now, we find there are some specific conditions in this body that cause other disorders throughout the system. These have to do with eliminations and the effect as has been produced on the blood supply of the system, and disorders created in the functioning of other organs through these disturbances.

  3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4748], we are speaking of. First:

  4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in this we find the disturbance in the mesenteric and in the hepatic circulation causes the system to pick up or carry back in the system those conditions that cause distress, especially in the capillary circulation, as is seen in the various conditions as are existent over various portions of the body - face and arms, especially, as seen. In the eliminations of this dross, this causes this disturbance in the lymphatic circulation. Hence, with the disturbance in the lymphatics, the organs that are controlled directly and indirectly through the ductless glands have their share of disorder, as is seen through the organs of the pelvis, and in the throat, larynx and bronchials. This purely a reflex condition. When there have been those properties accorded the system for the condition, without the removal of the cause producing same, these have simply been changed to various portions of the system. Hence the general debilitation as has set in from time to time.

  5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find the real seat or cause of the troubles. This is especially seen in the 4th lumbar plexus. This causes the disturbance in the mesenteric system direct, producing, through the lesion as is formed in the ends of the nerve plexus, to the front portion of the body, those distresses in the lacteal ducts. This causing, then, the regurgitation, as it were, of the new blood supply. Hence the disturbance throughout the mesenteric. With this disturbance comes inflammation (This is rather as history than as condition existing in the present). This producing inflammation brought the disturbance to the appendix (which, with the removal of same, did not give relief), and to the liver and pancreas, and spleen - all becoming overcharged by the amount of the lymphatic circulation carried on through this portion of the system by the over stimulation as is seen from this disturbed plexus. In the change as took place in the system from this, without the correction being made in the lower dorsal and lumbar plexus, these brought this condition in the right portion of the body, about the lower portion of the liver plexus, or the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus - brought the disturbance there as a center. Hence the condition as begun of being unable to digest any food taken in system. Without digestion, the toxins began to form in the system, blood becomes surcharged with the conditions. These set up within themselves. Rest from all of this brought better conditions to the body, yet at present we find none of those as first produced the trouble have been removed. Hence the rest, the keeping away from the regular diet, has brought some assistance, yet the body never well.

  6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, all show the stress and strain under which they labor, through this condition as has existed and does exist in the body.

  7. To bring about the normal conditions for this, we would have three direct applications, in their appointed time, to correct the conditions, so that the functioning of the organs would be through correct incentive forces and the normal equilibrium established throughout the system, without causing one to become overtaxed above another.

  8. First we would correct, osteopathically, those conditions in the dorsal and lumbar region. It will be necessary to apply heat to relax the body, that these lesions may be reduced, see? Preferably apply wet packs for fifteen to twenty minutes before an adjustment and the manipulation is given.

  9. After the adjustments have been given for twelve to thirteen adjustments, take these as medicinal properties:

  10. To 1 gallon of rain water, add:

Sarsaparilla Root…2 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark…2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root…1 ounce, Burdock Root…1 ounce, Black Snake Root…1/2 ounce, Mandrake Root…20 grains, Buchu Leaves…30 grains, Elder Flower…2 ounces.

  1. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to 1 quart. Strain while warm. Add 3 drams Balsam of Tolu, cut in 4 ounces pure grain alcohol. The dose will be teaspoonful 4 times each day.

  2. Let the diet be preferably of those of dried foods, rather than of green foods, see? Meat JUICES, but never any meats. Cereals and fruits may be used. Preferably, keep from the vegetable diet while the medical properties are being taken.

  3. After the full quantity of the medicinal properties has been taken, and the massage and the adjustments have been kept up (while this is being taken and before), then we would begin (leaving off other things) those vibrations as are found in that of the Alpine Rays, for this will then equalize the blood supply, creating the perfect metabolism throughout, coordinating the functioning of each cellular force in system, systematizing, as it were, the coordinating forces in each plexus of the nerve centers. This should be taken at least ten to fifteen treatments, taking every third day.

  4. Do that. We are through for the present.
