This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of January, 1926, in accordance with wire request made by self - Mr. [4751].

Time of Reading 3:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Alabama.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions in the body. These, we find, have to do with functioning of the eliminations in the system and have been of long duration, and there are conditions in the organs that have become acute at the present time, produced by indigestion and the exterior forces as has occurred.

3. Then, these are conditions as we find them at the present time in this body, [4751]: First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below normal in the rebuilding forces of the system, yet these have gotten to that condition, by the overtaxing through eliminations, that the excess of the drosses in portions of the system have affected the circulation to the extent as to slow up the action, and when pressure is produced in any portion, as has been of late, there comes that excess of pressure in the various portions of system, as is seen in that of the jejunum and in the right side and the condition in the appendix region, see? These we find, then, are overtaxing of the blood flow through the hepatic circulation, this becoming cold (hepatics, see?) or low, and with the excess of flow of blood produced by overtaxing in the system causing these depressions as come through the system; not a growth as yet, but that excitement to those nerve centers by over-stimulation, by too much blood flowing through at the particular time.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these are overtaxed by first the long duration of a lesion, as is seen in the 8th and 9th dorsal. This has long affected the stomach and the digestion, see? yet not to the excess as has been brought about in recent weeks. The condition now is one of exaggerated tension and pressure produced on diaphragm, pressure produced on the right side, and this in turn gives a condition in the liver wherein the engorgement of same gives a pressure through that portion of the system. High action in kidneys, with a strain to these through the nerve reaction from hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus where they cross in the region of the lacteal ducts, see?

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.

7. Eyes, ears, nose, all organs of the sensory system show the effect of the depression as has been produced in the upper cervicals, for the deflection of an impaired circulation has left drosses in the system. Hence the undue color as has existed for long with the body.

8. Lungs very good, though the pressure through the diaphragm region at present, on account of the pressure produced in engorged liver, shows the effect in how that the pulmonaries are affected, an affection through the effects of the central condition as given, see?

9. Digestion - all to pieces! affected through that condition in the dorsal and through the overtaxed condition as existent.

10. Liver as given. Hepatic circulation and kidneys under that same strain, see?

11. Then, to bring about the more normal conditions for this body would be, first take in the system those properties which will relieve this pressure as is produced, to meet the immediate needs. That as is found in this, taking at least three doses - this in each dose.

Podophyllum…1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada…1 grain, Licorice Compound…1/2 grain, Sanguinaria…1/2 grain.

These should be taken at least one day apart, preferably in evening.

12. Then, through deep manipulation, osteopathically given, cleanse or empty first the gall duct, cleansing the system through this cathartic as is taken, using high enemas to cleanse the colon, see? removing pressure from all portions of the intestinal tract, cleansing the alimentary canal throughout.

13. Then correcting that condition in the dorsal region and in cervical, and we will bring the more normal conditions for the body.

R2. 1/23/26 Letter from [779] to EC: ”…Yes, the party [4751] who wired you from here lives at my home or has apartments here. He had been off from work for 5 weeks with severe pains in his neck and left arm - could not lay down and sleep at night. He had X-rays made, teeth pulled, shots in the arm, and took medicine so the Dr. told him he just had to let time get him better. So I one night said ‘When you get tired of this and want to get relief have my Dr. to tell you’ - so I had to go into details so he had me wire you. I got his medicine for him after two or three days, within one week he was back at work, and is still on duty, a policeman in … He told me he was going to fill out card and form you sent, also send you a check, which I hope he has already done…”
