This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 9th day of November, 1922.

1. FEM: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep.

Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep, and all of the organs of your body will function properly; you will hear me and answer all of my questions.

You have before you the body of [4773], of …, Alabama. Now, Mr. Cayce, I want you to go over this body that you have before you, from head to foot, and examine the body carefully, and tell me of any ailments or disorders which you may find within the body; and then tell me what will cure or relieve the body from the conditions that you find. And, then, Mr. Cayce, answer three or four questions that I will ask, after you have described the condition of the body, [4773], …, Alabama.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. There are many various portions of the body affected by the conditions, as we find, in this body. But, as we find them, they may be corrected, and the body brought to a normal condition again. It would necessarily be some time, but would be a return of the action of all of the muscular forces, rather sudden when it occurred, you see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

4. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body - [4773], we are speaking of, …, Alabama.

5. The circulation shows the action in the system of the repressed muscular and nerve condition over the body, hence the thinness, or weakened condition in the circulation becoming more and more at present an anemiatized condition, yet the rebuilding functioning of the blood forces are not so hindered or hampered that they may not be rejuvenated again.

6. The nerve force in the body we find shows at the ganglia and the ends where they come in touch with the cartilaginous forces within the body, both to the extremities and to those along the spine, show the contraction which is produce by the congestion that has been produced in the weakened condition - for this condition is caused more by exposure and from the absorption of poisons from the individual body in the system, see?

FEM: I see.

7. Than from any specific disarrangement, as we would say, of the organs of the body itself.

8. The organs in their functioning - we find the brain forces very good. The action of the cerebro-spinal nerve is only hindered at the ganglia as we have given, till there is no coordination between the sympathetic and the cerebro-spinal at any of its junctures; hence, the inability of the body to use this either by taking thought of itself or by involuntary motion of the body itself.

9. The condition through the lungs, the heart action, are in a lower state of normalcy than they should be for the better condition of the body; for the repressed - or the non-activity of all of the muscular forces, that have become in such a weakened state, give to these organs in their functioning the same slow effect in their functioning.

10. The digestive tract is very good for the conditions, and is not the cause of the conditions, though we find the condition through the intestinal force, after leaving the duodenum, show how the poisons have been absorbed in the system; then with the condition as was at times back produced in the genitory [generatory] organs, to the effect to eliminate those conditions, assisted the hepatic circulation in taking in or absorbing in the system that to all the glands through the system becoming affected especially the typhus thymus] - that is the typhus thymus] gland, you see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

11. And those about the genitory [generatory] functioning system; so the system gradually absorbed these poisons and they were picked up by the emunctory circulation and given off to the whole capillary; so that they began first with an abated circulation that gradually become deep rather than exterior, and produced a cold, clammy condition over the body which gradually turned into the present forces, as we have here, you see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

12. Now to eliminate - or to assist this body in gaining its normal condition, it would be necessary to get into the system those principles that will rejuvenate all of the glandular forces and give new vibrations to the emunctory circulation and produce more lymph in the body to assist the circulation in eliminating the poisons from the system. This we would do in this manner and form:

13. Rub the body well along all emunctory centers exposed to capillary circulation, see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

14. That is as here - beginning first from this about the thyroid, that is in the neck here, to the frontal portion of the body -

FEM: Yes.

15. Under the arms, the arm pits, in the elbow, see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

16. Here, through the groin, and this at the head of the locomotories on either side, you see, here?

FEM: Yes, sir.

17. And along under the knees, with equal parts of linseed oil and sulphur, see?

FEM: Yes, sir.

18. So that we will absorb as much of this in the system as possible.

19. We would then, while this is being given to the system, or being applied to the system, each day, mornings preferably, see?

20. (Q) Yes; how many days? (A) After the body is rubbed well with this and it has been absorbed into the system, by being kneaded into the body, we would then, of course, by then have it to its normalcy you see?

FEM: Yes.

Then we would give into the system, Chloride of gold, fifteen grains, in fifteen ounces of water, with fifteen grains of bromide of soda. The dose would be 10 drops in half a glass of water morning and evening.

This will be kept up until we begin to have a renewal of the lymphatic forces through the system.

We would also apply electric vibration as given off by the ultra violet ray, that is that which comes from direct current without amperage showing its voltage, for it would be of the reverse type or coil, reaching a very high voltage by its own resistance, reverberating back. Do this, and we will find within a few months we will bring this body to its normal condition. Do all as we have given.

21. (Q) Mr. Cayce, just answer this one question. How long has this body been laid up with this rheumatic trouble? (A) [Mr. Cayce, just answer this one question. How long has this body been laid up with this rheumatic trouble?] The expressions of the conditions have existed within the system for more than three years. The condition has been as we find, or that of a severity to prevent the moving of the body, as we have given, you see -

FEM: Yes, sir.

• for twenty-six moons.

22. (Q) How long would it be necessary to use this ultra violet ray? (A) [How long would it be necessary to use this ultra violet ray?] Till we get the results in the system as we have given here, you see, rubbing of the body, taking of this, absorbed in the system, you see. By the absorption of the medicinal properties taken into the system to assist or rejuvenate the emunctories and the gland forces, see?

FEM: Yes.

And the ultra violet ray, which is of course as of x-ray force, for the body, to give rejuvenated forces to the action of the nerves themselves. And it helps the capillary circulation. Now we will have the body to break out in pimples, all over - that is elimination, see?

FEM: I see.

Don’t fear from this, because the sulphur and the oil, and gold will produce this. We are through.

23. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will forget all about this reading you have given, you are feeling all right and all the organs of your body will function properly; you are feeling good; now wake up feeling fine and all right and absolutely free from headache in two minutes.
