-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions with this body. These have to do with specific conditions in the body where disturbances to the functioning of organs are involved.
-
Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
-
IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find disturbed through the changing of the blood in the system; that is, in the lacteal duct these show how this disturbance is produced, for the system finds that in this change there comes distressing conditions at times through this right portion of the body. Blood, then, subnormal in most EVERY manner, to some extent.
-
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in the 10th and 11th dorsal we find there the segment shows how that the sublimation produced there by the pressure causes this distress in the system, reflexly, for the direct condition, as we see, is produced from that condition as induced in the stomach and as called or produced by that as will be termed a catarrhal condition. This, as we see, is a condition as is produced in the lumbar and dorsal region, and by the correction of this, and the stimulation to the condition from which these centers receive their incentive, through the nerve action, we would find we would overcome these conditions, and IN this change bring the better equilibrium to the body, yet there will be the necessity to induce that in the system which will give more strength and vitality to the whole system, especially in the building up of the vital forces of the body; for with this disturbance in the blood supply, in the nerve system, we have deflections which disturb not only the digestion and the assimilation, but also the blood flow through the pulmonaries. These produce the condition in the secondary cardiac plexus. Hence we have the cycle of that disturbance as exhibited through the condition existent in this system. Then,
-
THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, the brain forces very good.
-
Organs of sensory system show the effects of the disturbed assimilation in system, and the lungs, bronchials, larynx, show effection of the condition in the 2nd, 3rd dorsal, or near the cardiac plexus ganglion, and the sublimation there shows very distinctly.
-
In the intestinal tract, or digestive system with the intestinal tract, the condition there, as is produced by this condition of the catarrh, shows more distinctly, for the orifice of the duodenum is inflamed at times, as is portions of jejunum at others. The liver and spleen only secondary or sympathetic condition, as the kidneys also.
-
Then, to bring the normal condition for this body, we would correct, through the adjustments for the body, those conditions in the dorsal and lumbar region, stimulating the circulation by the application of those vibrations found in the Radio-Active Appliance, using the iron as is charged to the system to overcome this conditions, see? Tincture iron in the small quantity, see? using the plate of the negative on the umbilicus, or just above and to the right, see? This should be attached at least four hours in each twenty-four, for ten to twelve days. Then may be reduced to hour - two hours each evening.
-
With these adjustments, and the vibration to create this equilibrium, or to bring the normal metabolism to the system, reducing inflammation in the jejunum and in the mesenteric system, stimulating blood supply to create more of the red blood, and to be able to produce coagulation or assimilation in the system, or each, see? we will bring about the normal conditions for this body.
-
At least fifteen to twenty-eight adjustments should be necessary. REST after such adjustments are made. Do that, [4775].
-
We are through for the present.

Your diagnoses Is most wonderful, Conditions are as you say, but there are others just as marked or more so that you did not mention, wonder just why.
I expect to carry out the suggestions if possible. At least I shall do my best.
Thanking you for same I am Respectfully Yours, [4775]
R2. 4/7/26 EC’s letter:
Dr. [4775]
Dear Doctor:-
I am in receipt of your report regarding the reading sent you, and note what you have to say about same. I am sure you realize, Doctor, that although I have had many year’s experience with the work, I know practically little or nothing of how it works or operates - so, cannot say WHY it should describe certain conditions so well and NOT give other marked conditions in the same body. To be sure, the same thing that can tell you HOW it told one condition should be able to tell you WHY it did not remark concerning other conditions. So, in the study of the phenomena, is the thing we are vitally interested in, that we may, perhaps, be sable to enlighten future generations concerning such phenomena.
That is just why we are trying to gather data in a systematic way and manner. Now, you may be of considerable help or assistance to us in this, if you will. You may be able, by following out the suggestions as were given for improvement, to see whether the other conditions that are so marked are benefited or not, or as to whether they have any reference, one with the other, or not, and by making reports of your findings, we will be able to correlate this with many other reports concerning the various circumstances and conditions that arise; thereby, really have data worth while. To illustrate: We have two particular cases under observation at the present time that come to my mind in this respect. One a child in Chicago. It was taken ill with something like a chill, gradually grew worse for several days, perhaps two weeks, when at that time it was entirely unconscious, or at least knew no one at all, unable to sleep or eat. (Of course, now, I knew nothing about these conditions.) A great many doctors, perhaps ten in all, examined the child [4829], and were unable to locate the trouble. The reading disclosed a pressure at the base of the brain, though the major pressure was produced somewhere along the lower portion of the spine, perhaps in the coccyx. With this information, they were able to locate the trouble and it is gradually growing better; yet, in this reading there was a specific condition that has existed from birth perhaps, that was not mentioned at all, and could not be seen or noticed from the outside, as I understand; yet the directing of the examination to this particular place in the spine brought about the finding of this other trouble. Why wasn’t the other located?
I don’t mean to be wandering far afield, but might this not be explained in the manner that we asked ourselves the question: “Why did the Syrian have to dip seven times in Jordan? Why did Bartameus have to go and wash the clay off his eyes in the pool of Salome?”
The other case [4281] is a little bit different, yet there is a great deal that’s to be looked into. The doctor who first used the information as may be obtained through these readings, two or three years ago sent for me to come to his home and give a reading on a little girl. Two or three physicians had despaired of its life. The child was then a baby about six or eight months old. The suggestions as given in the reading at the time, seemingly straightened conditions out and the child got along fine. In the last year it has developed some kind of condition or trouble that seemingly the readings HELP but we seem to be only chasing trouble from one portion of the body to another. Why?
So you can very well see, Doctor, why that this will prove interesting as a study. I hope I’m not wearying you with all this, but I’m rather asking your cooperation in your own individual case, for we know, after all, personal experience is the one that makes us KNOW things as nothing else does. So, I would appreciate, if you would be so kind as to take the trouble, your letting me know your conclusions concerning your condition, as you follow out the suggestions that were given you, as you signify that you expect to do.
Trusting that I may hear from you from time to time, and hoping to have been of service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

Mr. Edgar Cayce Va. Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I would like to say a few words of appreciation and gratitude for what I have gained in health from your reading.
Altho I have not carried out the instructions to the point, due to the fact, I have not as yet been able to get the Radio-Appliance.
When I first wrote you for your personal service I was most out of heart, almost without the slightest hope of regaining health.
I resolved to write and see what you had to offer.
I say right now without hesitation, that it was the wisest step I have ever taken in my life.
The health I have gained already since then has been a revelation to me.
In addition to this, certain other difficulties are being eliminated, of which I was a most miserable victim.
Other people, who candidly does not know the first thing about your reading system, has remarked on my wonderful change in health.
My outlook for the future was never so bright. I know now how to obtain my most cherished desires, and my greatest desire is to be the means of bringing others to a realization of this wonderful hidden power that you possess.
In conclusion I wish you every success in your great endeavors, and if you think my testimony may be of any good to you, you are at liberty to use this letter in any way you see fit.
I shall always be pleased to hear from you at any time.
Assuring you of my thanks for your service.
Should there ever be a time when I can be of any service to you do not fail to ask for same. Thanking you again for your help I am
Respectfully yours, Dr. [4775]

R7. 8/1/40 Hugh Lynn Cayce’s letter:
Dr. [4775] …, Alabama
Dear Dr. [4775]
In going through our files, I find a copy of a physical reading given by my father in February 1926. We are endeavoring to bring our case histories up to date and will appreciate your cooperation in filling out the enclosed report form covering your reading. We are particularly anxious to know just how accurate the reading was in analyzing your condition. For example, the following points may be confirmed by you. Subluxation at the 10th and 11th dorsal. Disturbed condition in the stomach. Subluxation at the second and third dorsal. These and other points will give us a picture of the accuracy of the reading.
I would like for you to know about our expansion program under which we will undertake to cross index the readings now in our files. We have one of the most unusual collections of physic data in existence, and believe that the good which has come through these readings to so many people throughout this country deserves more scientific study and presentation. We want every individual who has had a reading to have an opportunity, however small, in making this program a success.
Within the near future, some member of the Association in your vicinity will call to discuss your report and this program.
Sincerely, Hugh Lynn Cayce HLC:EM

Jesus experienced the ingratitude and the UNREASONABLE words of the public just as all great Teachers have done.
The seekers after the the loaves and the fishes, demanding to be fed and clothed without their own ways - The seekers after miracles, demanding fresh wonder-workings - have ever been the bane of the great Teachers of The Truth.
Is is a hard and bitter Truth, but all Teacher and true lovers of the Truth must learn to meet and understand it.
And so it is with this great man Cayce. He has too often been misunderstood.
His way is the only way to arrive at - TRUTH -
