This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by her father, Mr. […], via David E. Kahn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find that there are specific conditions regarding the physical forces of this body that produce abnormal conditions, abnormal developments in the manifestation of the physical life. Now, these have to do with prenatal conditions, and the effects of conditions as have come to the body from outside influences and forces. The combination of these conditions brings about the present physical condition.

3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4816], we are speaking of. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in this we find there are certain elements and constituents of same so acted upon by various conditions in the glands, and in the nerve centers, that produce the improper incentives to the functioning of those centers, especially, governed by the sensory and sympathetic nerve system. Cerebro-spinal very good, but those conditions that form conjunction with cerebro-spinal and sympathetic, especially in those centers as seen about the 1st and 2nd cervical, and the 9th and 10th dorsal, these show the effects of conditions deranged in the system.

5. In the nerve and blood supply does the reaction from these conditions show.

6. While there are many normal functioning conditions in the organs of the body, the reactions to many of the nerve incentives in functioning produce abnormal conditions, as is seen at times in the functioning of the sensory system some accentuation beyond the years of development, or of acuteness in perceiving the reaction from that sensory center. Yet coordination of these into the reaction to a normal use of same brings abnormal reactions, or, as may be seen, the equilibrium of the system, the metabolism of the system, is destroyed in reaction, the same as is seen in digestion, in functioning of the organs of the pelvis, in the functioning of the organs in many portions of body - the reaction abnormal. The cause - the pressures produced in the pituitary glands (side of the face here - head, see?), from pressure produced in the blood centers and nerve centers in sympathetic, connecting with the pineal gland in the 1st and 2nd cervical.

7. Then, to bring the normal conditions will require care and attention, and persistence and consistent efforts, for the changes as develop, with an already super-sensitive system, must be met and dealt with as they arise.

8. We would though, first, through deep manipulation, osteopathically given, correct those conditions in the dorsal and cervical region, applying those Ultra-Violet Rays to the cerebro-spinal centers to so strain, clarify, inhibit and exhibit the blood stream in such a manner as to produce in the hemoglobin of the blood that element necessary to combat with this infusion in same.

9. Through this manner and means we will BEGIN the basis of that through which this body, [4816], may be brought to its best condition.

10. The treatments should be given at least every other day, first the manipulation, then the rays. Do that for the present. When at least twenty-six (26) such treatments, adjustments and clarifications have been made, we will find necessary for changes. The diet, the action, the care of the individual, should be looked after closely during this period.

11. We are through for the present.
