This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 29th day of May, 1924, in accordance with request made by his daughter - Miss [948].

1. EC: Now, we find the abnormal conditions for this body have been and are rather serious in the conditions. They have to do with the blood pressure, with the eliminations and with the effect as this produces on the lymphatic circulation and the nerves as govern these.

2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find over-abundant in the system and the pressure above the normal, and with the toxins as carried in the system through the poor elimination, and the overcharging of the kidneys and of the liver in the circulation as carried through these, and with the elimination that comes between the circulation in its normal and in its abnormal condition, and the abnormal functioning of the organs as produced by the toxins created in the blood and in the organs, we come to the condition as we have in the limbs and in the body, and in the centers of the ligaments as give locomotion to the extremities and to the side and face.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these same conditions exist with this overtaxing in blood supply, and the overtaxing of nerve centers by these toxins in the system, this has brought about the conditions in the ligaments in the centers, in the ends of ligaments where the joint and the ligament proper gives it action reflex or in the action through the nerve system, either that of the voluntary or involuntary action of the nerve ends and system. The taking of the toxins in the system to overcome those conditions will eventually overcome these portions, provided the heart’s action is kept in attune with the conditions as are met in the toxins as given in the stimulus to blood, in the white and red blood supply, in eliminations, creating eliminations and relaxations for the functioning of the liver and kidneys and eliminations in the intestinal tract.

5. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find the body very good, save wherein these in the digestion, in the kidneys, in the liver, are choked or clogged by these taking in the bacilli that should be eliminated, and the toxins are formed thereby.

6. R E L I E F, to bring, then, the relief as best for this, with these toxins as taken, keep these as given at present, but create the better elimination through intestinal tract, without creating too much unbalance between the eliminations in liver and in kidneys, else we will overtax the system as to prolong conditions; and over-tax heart action and blood supply. To eliminate and prevent the return of these afterward will be a different condition.

7. Keep salines in the system in action with those as being given for the removal or absorption of toxins.

8. Do this now.

9. We are through for the present.

As I knew your father’s name and location, the reading for him was taken this afternoon, and enclosed you will find a copy of same. You will notice in this, especially in the remedy, that, apparently, he is being treated correctly in the hospital, only a warning given that they must be particular about the eliminations for the present conditions. I gather from this that when he is over this acute attack that another reading might be given that would tell him how to prevent its return, and of course you know I shall be very glad to give this, if he so desires. I am in hopes that he gets along alright, and I assure you I shall be glad to hear from him.
