GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
-
EC: Now, we find there are serious physical conditions with this body. There is that producing in the physical conditions that taxation, through percussion and concussion, that brings this unbalanced forces in the brain centers.
-
Then, to give the relief for these conditions, there will be the necessity of making those adjustments that will relieve this condition as exists in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervical; also that in the side of the head and face. This may be removed by the use of the osteopathic forces, with the application of the Rino or Alpine rays to clarify the blood supply in the system, for the reduction of those conditions as bring this depression to the brain centers proper, from the pituitary and pineal gland, see? We would do that.
-
(Q) How often is it necessary to treat the body? (A) Until we see the response from same direct - one right after the other. Work with it until we get the response to these conditions, see? for this is as the tie-up of a center PRODUCED by the condition as exists from outside, see?
-
(Q) How would the Alpine ray be used, and when? (A) After each treatment, or WITH the treatment, as the relaxing for the whole body, that the adjustments and the blood flow in same may bring those recuperative forces to all these centers that are involved, in the head, neck, shoulders and face.
-
(Q) What doctor could they procure that would give the proper treatment? (A) Any first class osteopath doctor that uses the rays with same, see?
-
(Q) Any further suggestions for the relief of this body? (A) This needs to be done first. Then meet the conditions as arise. This has been some time coming, and some conditions have arisen that may prove stubborn with this condition, but by the correct releasing of these pressures, and the clarifying (not good one without the other) of the blood stream in its elimination, see, we will correct these conditions; for the hallucinations as produced by the pressure, see, produces also, with this condition, that pressure, or that drug or dreg, as it is, for the brain centers’ activity.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 3/7/26 EC’s wire: ”…For relief for [4829] would use osteopathic adjustments first, second and third cervical with the application of the Alpine or Rino rays. Don’t use one without the other. Keep up this treatment until pressure removed. Full reading in mail…”
R2. 3/18/26 Mr. [4212]‘s letter: ”…I recommended my osteopath, Dr. John L. Murphy, in the case of [4829]. He checks out on this reading okay and the girl seems to be improving under his care. It might be interesting for you to know that a number of doctors, including specialists, were unable to determine the tie-up in this girl, and the fact that she got no sleep they said she could not live over thirty days - she has had several nights of fair sleep and is coming along okay…”
R3. 4/2/26 Mother’s letter: ”…Enclosed please find check for five dollars for the reading on my daughter March 7th. I am sorry I cannot send you more, as your advice was certainly a Godsend to us. It came at a time when things looked very black. I am happy to say my daughter is improving slowly. She has gained six pounds in three weeks. Before the osteopathic treatments she was losing from 3 to 3-1/2 pounds every week, and it seemed as though there was no relief for her. Her mind has improved and her nerves are much better. Dr. Murphy advises an operation for hooded clitoris, and says she will be better if this is done than she has ever been. I do not know what you will think of this. Next time I write I hope I will be able to give you real good news. Thanking you for your kindness, sincerely yours…”
R4. 4/7/26 EC’s letter to Mrs. […] [[4829]‘s mother]:
Mrs. […] … Ave., …, Ill.
My dear Mrs. […]
I am in receipt of yours of the 2nd, with enclosure, for which please accept my thanks. I’m glad to know that your daughter is on the improve, and I assure you we shall be very glad to make a check reading on this at any time that you would like to have it, and we can get it in. It might be very well if your doctor will cooperate with this, to have him make out a list of questions to be asked concerning the case at that time. We shall be very glad to see what we can do. I’m very thankful to know that the suggestions proved beneficial, and brought to you a hope when seemingly all was despair. This is what has made this work worth while to us - in that it’s helpful to others. So, we have no price, but ask people to contribute according to their abilities and according to the good that they receive.
Thanking you for your letter, and hoping that we may be of further service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
