This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by her husband, Mr. […], via Mr. [2903].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions with this body, and these may be corrected. We have abnormal conditions, as affect also specific conditions, as are the cause of OTHER conditions existent in the body.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find below normal, on account of the inflammation as is often carried in same, producing toxins in the system and a strain on the emunctories or eliminating organs of both the liver and the kidneys. Not an organic condition in either. The effect as is produced in these organs from this condition has at times been called the seat of the trouble. Not so.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find there are many ganglia in the cerebro-spinal system that show the cause and the effect of the existent condition, that produces the disturbance in this body from the PHYSICAL condition. These, especially, in the lower lumbar, the sacral and the lower dorsal. These in the lower dorsal and lumbar show the position of the trouble as produces the disturbance in the system - that in the pelvic organs. In the reflexes from these plexuses that show lesion, there is produced an undue flow, or LACK of flow, (for both conditions exist at different times) to the head. Hence the depressing condition as is produced by headaches, in the top, base and side of head, varying according to the pressure in the ganglions, in either the pelvis, the cervical, the dorsal, the sacral, for ALL, as we see, under stress, become a sympathetic condition. Hence the overtaxed NERVE condition of the body, sympathetically.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good - often dulled by the conditions and bromides, as affect the nerves proper.

7. Sensory organism shows the effect of bromides as have been used in system in various forms, and under varying circumstances.

8. Lungs, throat, larynx, show the conditions in the blood in the functioning of these portions of the organism, especially in the minutia, or in the soft portions in nasal, throat and in bronchials, at times; irritation, by the rush of blood to other portions of the system to relieve strain or inflammation, leaving drosses uneliminated in these various portions. Hence the congestion. Hence the cold that is taken and the excretions as are thrown off from these conditions at times.

9. Lungs very good.

10. Heart’s action - not normal, not subnormal at times, not abnormal at times; yet ALL conditions exist at VARIOUS times; though no organic condition.

11. The digestive system shows the effect of an overtaxed system. Hence, rarely is the body able to take in the system that that will assimilate properly in the system, with an overtaxed condition. The body does not appear sick ALL the time, yet rarely feeling extraordinarily well - rather unusual to do so. In the digestive system, especially in the duodenum and throughout the jejunum, is shown the effect of inflammation in the system, and of the effect this condition has on the blood BUILDING portion, in the lacteal ducts, and the effect as is produced in the lachrymal ducts - that is, those of that system as affect DIRECTLY the lymph of the system. Hence the condition as appears under the eyes at times, not only from the suffering from headaches, but from the lymph ducts, as are shown from the lachrymal system and from the lacteal glands. See? Two different systems, yet the connection in same, as is shown by the condition in this body, [4843], we are speaking of.

12. In the false pelvis do we find the seat of the trouble. There we find that the ovaries and the Fallopian tubes show the seat of congestion, as there once in times back was produced in this body, through cold and congestion at menstrual period, that of a congestion to these tubes. Hence there has been produced a condition which may be termed as a catarrhal condition of the Fallopian tube, and of the left ovary, especially. This is, and has been, the cause of the distresses in the system. Through the pelvis and the condition of the tubes themselves, as of the ovaries and of the organs of the generatory system, the distresses as have been and are produced in the system. This prevents also the functioning of this portion of the system in the proper and normal manner, see?

13. Then, to bring about the normal condition for this body, we would, through deep manipulation, osteopathically given, correct those conditions in the dorsal, lumbar and sacral region. This will necessitate at least twenty-six to thirty-nine (26 to 39) treatments, see? and these should be given every other day.

14. After this has been taken or given for at least ten (10) such treatments, begin with the use of the Violet Ray, using that applicator for the vagina that will electrify - that is, through the carrying of blood in the electrical forces as will be applied through same to the portion of the body. This should be used at least two to five minutes each day, evenings preferably, see? and then applied to the system along the cerebro-spinal system, from the end of the spine to the base of the brain.

15. DO NOT TAKE MEDICINAL PROPERTIES WHILE THESE ARE BEING APPLIED, SEE? either the osteopathic forces or the electrical treatments! Take no drugs.

16. Do not eat meats of a heavy nature; rather wild game, fowl or fish. No pork, especially. Small quantities of beef, but very far apart. Use more vegetables, especially those of the tuberous nature, see? and of the lentils and of those that give BUILDING forces to blood and clarify same; such as beets, peas, beans, celery, cauliflower, and those of that nature. ALL in moderation.

17. At all times take as much water in the system as possible. Drink MORE water than has been common with the body. Take water when first arising in the morning and the last thing before retiring - no matter if same must act through the kidneys, this NEEDS to be cleansed - the whole system. Water cleanses it better than purgatives.

18. Do that. We will bring the normal conditions for this body.

19. We are through for the present.

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

Two letters received: I am ashamed of waiting so long to answer. The last letter you sent me that had a circular in it, I am interested and want to help you, and will ask that you send me another one as the one that I had was lost in the flood here.

For your information, Mrs. [4843] started on her treatments and was about half thru when it became necessary to discontinue them for the present on account of sickness and the death of her mother. However, as soon as it is possible she intends to continue the treatments, the few that she had taken certainly made a lot of difference in her health.

I will not wait as long the next time to answer, and ask you to excuse me for being so slow this time.

Was very sorry to hear of your mother’s death and want you to know that you have my sympathy.
