-
GC: You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time.
-
EC: Now, we find these as the conditions in this body at the present time.
-
The stress and strain under which the body labors and functions, brings the greater troubles for the body through the inability of the body at times to function in the normal manner, even that as is known by the better physical forces of the body to care for self.
-
First, then, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find overcharged with the drosses from the system, especially that of the uric acid reaction in the blood, and the effect as this produces in the system is the greater trouble in the system. This produces, as we shall see, disturbances in the functioning of the organs of the body, and through same the distresses are brought.
-
Nerve system of the body very good in many ways, yet the strain is so much on the system, there is much involuntary action of voluntary muscular and nerve centers, produced by the over strain, and the equilibrium being out of balance in the elimination and assimilations in the system, affecting reflexly and directly the ganglions that cause this contraction or nerve reaction.
-
IN THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, those under the greater distress (though all show some signs of the conditions as inhibited in the system) are the liver and the kidneys. The heart’s action comes in for its share of irregularity, produced by the pressure, by the engorging of liver, on diaphragm, and the shortness of breath as is seen at times. The liver engorged. The kidneys engorged. Both show how this reaction of these conditions, then, produced in the lymphatic and capillary circulation those drosses to the joints and muscular tissue of the body.
-
Then, to bring the normal condition to this body, we would take these medicinal properties:
Tincture Valerian…2 ounces, Elixia Calisaya…4 ounces, Iodide of Potash…20 grains, Bromide of Potash…30 grains, Tincture Capsici…1 minim, Oil of Sassafras…24 minims. Sufficient Simple Syrup, or of a syrup, better, made from this:
-
Take 16 ounces of water, and in same put Wild Cherry Bark - 8 ounces. Reduce by slow boiling or simmering to one-half the quantity. Strain off and add to this, stirring in while warm, and let come to nearly a boil, while its being stirred in, 6 ounces of Cane Sugar. Add this to the ingredients, and the dose of this would be teaspoonful three times each day.
-
Also take those properties as are found in this combination:
Phosphate of Soda…4 ounces, Syrup of Sarsaparilla…1/2 ounce, Tincture (in liquid form) of Tolu…1/4 ounce.
(Phosphate should be in liquid, see?) with sufficient simple syrup to make 6 ounces.
-
This should also be taken at least five times each day, see? taking half a teaspoonful at the time.
-
The diet of the body should be more vegetables and less meats; preferably those vegetables of the green nature.
-
By time the second quantity of each of these properties are taken, we will find the body much improved, and rid of these aches, and pains, and troubles, as is caused by the poor elimination - have better assimilation for the body, see?
-
Do that.
-
We are through.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/15/26 Letter: ”…I think you have given me a good reading. It seems to fit my case, so I will try it out, for I have not been able to do anything for two years, only some easy job. Haven’t got the use of my hands and legs just right. I am going to try your treatment. So is the Mrs. [4848]…”
R2. 6/2/26 Mrs. [4329]‘s letter: ”…Mr. [4847] has less rheumatism since using your medicine, but still has trouble in his left leg and hip - probably sciatic nerve trouble. He had a terrible attack of quinsy just before [4848] had tonsillitis, so he has not fully regained his strength. It is too bad that the poor fellow has to work under continual strain. Do you think he should use another filling of your prescription? He is almost out of medicine. I wish he would give himself enough thought to have another reading! Would you advise another?…”
R3. 6/8/26 EC’s letter: ”…I think it would be well that we would sometime in the near future have a check reading on Mr. [4847]‘s condition and see if we can’t get him straightened out. I should think that his attack of quinsy would indicate that he possibly had some re-infection, and we will want to meet these conditions also, if possible, but he should keep up all of the treatments as near as he can, for while he has this trouble somewhat on the move or jump, we want to get rid of it entirely…”
R4. 7/29/26 Mrs. [4329]‘s letter: ”…Mr. [4847] feels that he has had more endurance since using your medicine and expects to get more of it very soon…”
R5. 6/18/29 Mrs. [4329]‘s letter: ”…I am wondering if your readings would recommend the use of an Ionizer to any of your patients? Or if you could consider purchasing one or more for general use in your Hospital?
“Mr. [4847] has been so greatly benefited since beginning use of Ionizer last fall that I felt induced to accept the agency. He was threatened with complete loss of use of one leg from sciatica and was tortured with muscular rheumatism, also. His heart was very weak all last summer and fall and with liver, kidney and bladder troubles he was most miserable. To our surprise he got through the winter and spring just fine, and everybody remarked how WELL he looked. He is past 73 years old, so we think his improvement is little short of miraculous. Knowing that hospitals are equipped with all kinds of therapeutic devices, of which you may be interested, I will enclose circular…”
[GD’s note: Mrs. [4329] was referring to an invention of Dr. S. C. Drollinger, M.D., entitled NEW MODEL IONIZER. EC corresponded with her about it but so far as I know it was not recommended in a reading.]

B1. 1/21/26 Sister-in-law [4329]‘s letter; requesting also a reading for [4848]: ”…My brother-in-law [4847] is 70 years old or shall be soon; has had a wonderful constitution, and would yet be well-preserved but for his hard, slavish work, worries, and cares. His optimistic disposition has enabled him to better meet the discouragements which continual illness in the home always brings, and everywhere he is loved for his untiring devotion to his beloved wife [4848]. His case is all the more pathetic because he suffers intensely at times, from which he seldom gets any relief through doctors. He is not really in a state of ‘decrepit old age’ - appearing that old - surely you can benefit him!!…”
B2. 2/9/26 4847-1 was preceded in the morning appointment by the reading for his wife [4848].
