This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 10th day of August, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4865].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions with this body, and these have to do with the functioning of the system from specific causes and affect directly functioning conditions, until the organs have become in a nature involved in conditions.

3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find deficient in many respects, produced by the system’s not being drained properly in the emunctories of the system, especially in the kidneys. The inflammation as is created in the system through the reflexes from this condition often produces the nausea, headaches and depression in system, especially to the lower digestive system. From this the absorptions of toxins cause the exaggerated condition in the system. This producing rather the effect of the respiratory disturbance of body, for the system attempting to produce equilibrium brings this taxation.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this very good, as would be considered with the conditions existent, but the nerve reflexes, especially in cerebro-spinal system, shows the disturbance of this. Hence the insomnia as is produced. The sympathetic taking hold, as it does, of system prevents the nerve breakdown.

6. In the functioning of the centers from the cerebro-spinal disturbance, these we find principally in the 2nd and 3rd lumbar, in the sacral and in the 5th and 6th dorsal.

7. In the organs proper, these all show the strain under which the system functions. This is exhibited throughout the sensory system. Hence condition in eyes, ear, in nostrils, in throat, in the repressions as are felt by the body through any condition that produces a nerve taxation or is of a repulsive nature to the body. This produces then, as it were, nausea and a sickening feeling all over.

8. In the lungs very good.

9. Heart’s action slow.

10. The digestive system weakened, yet functioning very good when we consider the condition of lower digestion.

11. Liver engorged but acting in the secretive rather than excretory functioning.

12. Kidneys the greater disturbance of the body, from inflammation, from drosses, from the condition as is produced. Needs more stimulation in its action, and of the vibratory nature, and forces as to produce the better effect in system.

13. Then, to bring about the normal forces for body and assistance to the physical forces, to create the necessary equilibrium in system, take as this:

14. Every second day, until at least five doses are taken, take this:

15. Half teaspoonful plain phosphate of soda in full glass of water, to which is added three drops syrup sarsaparilla, one minim rectified oil of turp and one minim sweet spirits of nitre, see?

16. The increased functioning and respiration as will be produced by this, the inflammation that will be excited, must be reduced by the manipulation, vibratorily given, either osteopathically or chiropractically, or rather a combination of each would be the better for the condition of system, see? so that the body throws off or eliminates these conditions.

17. Then, add those vibrations with these of those of Radio- Active forces of the iron and steel, with ice, at least two hours each evening. Do that.

18. Be necessary that the diet be cared for while all medicinal properties, and the vibratory forces of osteopathic or chiropractic forces, are being applied to system, see? These should be, then, those that produce more blood rebuilding, blood clarifying forces to the system. This had best be under the direction of the one giving the treatments, for they should work in conjunction with same, see? Necessary, then, that at least sixteen such treatments or adjustments be given the body.

My dear Mrs. [4865]:-

Enclosed, herewith, is the copy of the reading as gotten this morning. I certainly am in hopes that this will prove both beneficial and instructive to you.

As for the suggestions as are made, I’m sure you will be able to obtain the phosphate and other properties and prepare and take those yourself. As to the osteopath or chiropractor, I would suggest that you take this to Dr. Rober B. Saxmann, 7300 Princeton Avenue. I’m sure he will be glad to go over this with you, check up the conditions and see just how well they fit in, and I’m sure he can give you the treatments necessary.

As for the Radio-Active forces, this is an applince, as I understand, that would be very beneficial to you. I would advise that you wire Mr. T. B. Brown, Brookins Mfg. Co., Dayton, Ohio. He can give you the information regarding this and I feel sure, if you carry out the suggestions fully as given, you will get results.
