This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by self, through Mr. [4219].

Time of Reading 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes. Now, we find there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of this body. These have to do with specific conditions as exist in the physical functioning, produced by conditions that are as specifics in the physical structure in the organism. These bring about disturbing elements and keep the functioning system in that state of incoordination, one with another.

3. These are conditions, then, as we find them with this body, [4867], we are speaking of:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this shows the effect of conditions existent by disturbances created in the circulation - the circulation being hindered in its effectiveness in the various conditions, or THROUGH the various conditions, as disturbed in the body. Hence an altered elimination, and the eliminating functioning of the body not coordinating in the proper way and manner, as is seen in the variation in capillary circulation and that of the regular eliminating forces through the trunk portion of body, or an altered hepatic and capillary circulation. Hence the dullness as is felt by the body, and the listlessness as to the extremities of the body. These alter in their effect upon the system. This condition produced, as we see, by that existent in the cerebro-spinal nerve system.

5. IN THE NERVE FORCES, in the cerebro-spinal we find there are specific conditions in the various ganglions of the cerebro-spinal system that are as indications of the conditions that show disturbed nerve energy in the various functioning organism, as is seen in the 2nd lumbar, in the 6th, 7th - yea 5th - dorsal, and at the base of the brain. These are both cause and effect in the system, for with the disturbance in the hepatic circulation, and with subluxations created in the body, they (these conditions in these specific centers) become both an effect of the first condition and the cause of the secondary conditions. The effect as is produced is the disturbance first to the condition of elimination, as is exercised through the lower hepatic circulation, or in the kidneys. This slowing up, causes then a high vibration of circulation about the hypogastric and pneumogastric centers. The condition produced then an overtaxed action in the liver. This in this engorged condition throws back in the blood those elements that should be eliminated through their proper channels. This in turn brings the slowed circulation in the region of the dorsal ganglia, and produced the condition that slows up the circulation in the head. Hence those dull headaches as ensue. This, as given, as we see, is more as the histology of the conditions as are existent at present than of the total condition existent, see?

6. In the present conditions, then, we find the body capable at times of meeting the needs of the body, and at others as that the body all over is out of coordination. Hence, to meet the needs of these conditions, the body, in attempting to adjust itself, brings about those conditions that exist in these ganglia as given of the nature that hinders the normal nerve impulse. This in turn gives, then, the feeling at times as if the outer circulation, or skin, or body, does not fit exactly to that of the inner or other body or skin.

7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces are very good.

8. Organs of the sensory system show the effects of these disturbances in body, though not specific conditions at the present time.

9. Lungs, throat, bronchials, very good, though the body often finds that cold and congestion are present without any action, seemingly, on the part of the body toward indiscretions that would cause such conditions.

10. The digestive system is rather that of nerve indigestion, than of organic indigestion, and is as a reflex condition rather than as of the direct. This condition disturbed rather from that of the disturbance in the various nerve plexus and centers as given, than of a direct condition in the organ - but the functioning disturbed.

11. Liver not normal, yet not organically disturbed.

12. Digestion in the lower portion of the body, or intestinal digestion, often shows disturbances.

13. In the kidneys and hepatic circulation, these show the inability of system to coordinate through these channels.

14. Now, to meet the needs of these conditions:

We would use that as would correct these incentives of the nerve system, stimulating the various organs through those centers that receive the nerve impulse for action, so that these centers produce a better coordination through the functioning of all of the organs of the body. This we would do through osteopathy, see? It would be found necessary to give DEEP manipulation in the cerebro-spinal centers at least every third treatment, with the gentle massage and manipulation every other day, but every third treatment should be rather deep, see? that the major portions of the eliminating centers may be aroused to their more normal action.

16. We would also use those vibrations for the body as are seen in the Radium Active Appliance, using this as the means of setting those vibrations in the system that clarify the blood supply and give new energy, or renewed energy, to the nerve plexuses and reaction, see? using, then, the regular pad for same, worn across the region of the diaphragm in the cerebro- spinal region, see?

17. And the osteopathic adjustments should number at least thirteen (13).

18. The diet shall be that as is in keeping with the clarifying of blood stream, and of taking on more vitamins in the body. This, then, will be found in rather the vegetable diet, that especially of tomatoes, potatoes, and celery and lettuce, spinach, and such diet as that. Of course, those others may be taken in moderation, but principally such as these given.
