This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of November, 1926, in accordance with request made by his father.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same, and you will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before. We find there are many changes in the physical condition of this body since we had this here before, both in the elimination and assimilation, and that to be eliminated, as is seen by the poisons in system as are accumulated through the condition as received from the exterior, in the cuticle of the body.

3. The application, then, of conditions to better this, we would keep the bowels or the eliminations regularly set up in system, see? Small amounts of Castoria, or of any properties that stimulate circulation and that assist the body to normal conditions for the needs of the body to meet that as is necessary to keep normal elimination. For instance, as we have with the Castoria, we produce eliminations, sweetening of the stomach, of the intestinal system; yet the circulation is not stimulated sufficient. Then we will find that every few days, until the condition is improved, better one Alophen pill be given - would be well to stimulate heart’s action, and the circulation and the eliminations be kept near normal.

4. That as is being applied to the abrasions [Unguentine] is very good. Along the edges there would be applied those properties in sweet oil, or camphorated oil, and this will prevent sticking and heal the edge better than just that as is applied in the Unguentine, see? for while the greases do heal, and these bring much of the excretions from the body, and the numbers of the rebuilding cells are being increased in the body by the application (hence the necessity of keeping eliminations normal, and above normal during such conditions, see?), but the Camphorated oil, or sweet oil, applied to the edges, will assist in bringing about healing properties, see? and these may be applied a little later to keep this moist - apply even over that of the Unguentine plaster, see?

5. (Q) Should the abrasion be dressed every day? (A) Every day. Well to cleanse same off with the antiseptic solution when it is cleansed, see? This should be cleansed thoroughly each day to prevent any condition from causing infection, either by exterior, or by poor elimination, see? for the body was near at once to setting up bad conditions, see?

6. We are through for the present.

R3. 6/29/74 GD’s note: Today I obtained a bottle of Sweet Oil [SWAN Sweet Oil, Olive Oil - an emollient for external use to soften and protect tissues; Packed by CMC, INC., Nashville, Tenn. 37202] from MEDCO PHARMACY, Virginia Beach, VA. It used to be available at all drug stores, but in recent years we have not been able to find it. Apparently it is Olive Oil but thinner, more refined than the pure, thicker Olive Oil sold under the name of Olive Oil. I think for a while it was on the market under the name BABY OIL.]
