This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of February, 1929, in accordance with request made by her daughter, Miss [2913].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, while we find there are many conditions that are not well pleasing - or that are not in accord with the better physical functioning - a great deal of the conditions are incident to the age as well as to the general condition as has been existent with the body for times past, and many are the functionings - many are the various conditions that have labored under strain - that has brought about this present condition.

2. While the condition often causes uneasiness, there is not at present any condition that - without any other element entering in - would cause alarm; yet all of these may be aided toward bringing about better functioning and better reaction of the general physical forces of the body; for with the poor eliminations as have been existent, and with the changes from time to time to assist the system in gaining a nearer normal equilibrium, and without the correction of conditions entirely, various forms of that that has been termed the effect of poisons in system - in the tissue, in the sinew, and in the glands especially, brings this uneven palpitation of the heart, the effect of the locomotion on the system (rather than the effect of the system on locomotion), and the action of the nerve system.

3. To meet then the condition at the present, or to add that as would be helpful or beneficial to the system:

4. We would begin with half doses of Toris Compound - as would be mixed preferably with Spirits Frumenti AND the simple syrup, or two quantities made at once, then added together. And give only half the dose, see?

5. Also use, every second day, those vibrations over the system of the Violet Ray.

6. Wearing at all times (save when resting at night - though when resting in day this should be kept) that of the Radium Pad as seen in that vibration of the Double N [?].

7. When this has been carried out for at least sixty days, we will find better reaction in the system.

8. Let the diet consist principally of those that add more of the iron and salts to the system. Little or no meat. Plenty of vegetables, and at least one GREEN vegetable twice each day. Do that.

9. We are through for the present.

R1. 2/11/29 Letter from EC to Miss [2913]: “I’m sorry there has been such a delay in getting the reading for your mother, but I hope the information will assist you in bringing about conditions that will be much more satisfactory to you and to her also. Should it be necessary, or should you feel you would like for me to go over the case again in a few weeks, so as to check up on the condition that is, when you have begun what is suggested - we will be very glad to do it, and we certainly hope we won’t have such a condition that you can’t get it when you ask for it.

“Certainly hope your mother is feeling better, and trust you are real well yourself. Hope you will come down and see us again real soon. We are getting along very nicely with the fixing up of the building. We hope to be open in the next few weeks - just waiting on some of the equipment.

R2. 2/25/29 Daughter [2913]‘s letter: “We are hoping that my mother’s reading given by Mr. Cayce will prove beneficial to her and I have no doubt it will, since I was helped somewhat.”

R3. 3/(?)/29 “Druggist says there is no such mixture…”

R4. 3/19/29 GD’s letter to Miss [2913]: “Regarding the prescription given for your mother, Mr. Cayce says you will be able to obtain the Toris Compound from the Globe Medicine Co. of Dayton, Ohio. We have had this suggested several times in readings and have had druggists to tell us there was no such thing, but we have always been able to get it from these people. It is a preparatory medicine, and comes in a package. You would have to order a package of it and then prepare it with the other ingredients, according to instructions given in the reading, or have your druggist prepare it for you. I hope you will have no trouble in getting this fixed up. If you do, please let us know and we will be glad to help in any way possible.

“Mr. Cayce is feeling a great deal better now, but keeps awfully busy. We are afraid he will overwork himself again.

“We hope you will soon come down to see us again. The hospital is open now, and it is beautiful…”
