This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 W. 35th St., Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4892].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are some abnormal conditions for this body. These may be assisted and corrected by carrying out those conditions that would bring the more normal functioning of the organs of the system, for we find the conditions have to do with the functioning of organs and the effect this produces in the blood supply and in the nerve systems.

3. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, Mrs. [4892] we are speaking of. First:

4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find deficient in its rebuilding properties, for the impoverishment of the blood supply, through the drosses left in system and the lack of eliminations in certain functioning portions of the system, produce this taxation. Hence some toxins are carried in the blood supply.

5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, the strain as produced in the functioning system and the centers that have the subluxations, these combined, produce the strain on the nerve system, as we see, in the 6th dorsal center, that subluxation that produces most of the headaches as come from this condition and the effect that is produced to the frontal portion of face and at times affecting the eyes, comes from this subluxation, for this prevents the flow of blood in a normal manner through the head in certain channels. Hence the pains in central portion of head and through eyes, and in this condition the antrums in frontal portion of face become affected, giving then, with the circulation and the poor eliminations there, this form of neuralgia in face. In the lower portion of the cerebro-spinal system, the lower dorsal, or in the upper lumbar, these assist in the trouble as is experienced through the digestive system, causing the effects as produced through the functioning of the liver and the hepatics, and this causes also, reflexly, that trouble as experienced with the kidneys, in conjunction with drosses left in system, and the inclination for the disarrangement in the action of the colon. Hence the easy congestion and disturbance in the lower portion of intestinal system..

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS, in brain centers very good.

7. Organs of sensory system strained, under the lack of nutriment from cerebro-spinal system to all portions of sensory system. Hence the strain produced in various manners, and changing in these. Disturbances, then, in eye, in ear, in nose, in throat, in the tastes and in respiratory system, though no organic condition in either.

8. Lungs, bronchials and larynx show effect of the condition in blood and nerve system. No organic conditions.

9. Heart’s action below normal and pressure below normal.

10. Digestive system a state of the effect of nerve indigestion.

11. Liver and spleen both engorged. Liver inactive, as is the upper jejunum, and this produces inflammation in the mesenteric system, especially in the lower left side, where the lesion in lower dorsal and upper lumbar affects those organs of pelvis reflexly, and producing the distress in functioning of kidneys, though no organic trouble in either or any of these as yet, though we have the sediments and refractory action of the kidneys.

12. In the colon and in the pelvis and false pelvis, there are the distresses at times from the kidney and the pressure produced in this portion of system.

13. Then, to bring the normal condition for this body, we would first take those treatments and adjustments of the osteopath nature, to correct the conditions in the lumbar and dorsal regions, as given, taking at least twelve to fifteen such treatments, every other day. Then taking those properties in a medicinal nature as this: This being one dose, and six such doses should be taken, taking every third day until all are taken, see? Prepare this then in capsule form:

Podophyllum…1/2 grain, Cascara Sagrada…1 grain, Dovers Powders…1/4 grain, Sulphate Quinine…1/4 grain.

14. All these should be taken, the six, see?

15. Then take, after these have been taken, those of a half teaspoonful plain Phosphate of Soda, in half glass of water, with six drops Syrup of Sarsaparilla, taken every morning. While these medicinal properties are being taken, see? Also take for at least five to six days after these have been taken.

16. Using the Violet Ray applicator during the whole time and whenever the distresses are in the trunk portion, or in the head and neck, for this will relieve these conditions.

17. Do that. These may be kept up whenever is necessary for the system, see?

18. We are through for the present.
