1. EC: Yes, here we have the body here. The conditions in this body were produced by an accident to the body in time past. The body was hurt some time back in some kind of a wreck. Now, these are the conditions we find in this body here, Mrs. [4934], of whom we are speaking. In the blood we find the blood is carrying the effects of the conditions as produced here in the head, so that the secretive organs have trouble at times in discharging all of the refuse or waste matter as carried by them to be eliminated by that portion of the blood forces, and we have congestion of the liver at times and takes into the system that which causes an excess of secretive forces. This is reflex and not the direct cause of the condition. While we find the body supplying a normal amount of rebuilding forces in the blood used, it is not a blood condition, but a contaminated blood by conditions existing in the system. In the nervous system, we find the shock to the entire nervous system - the cerebro-spinal system has been very severely shocked. The condition has existed for some time past, that is in the head - inside the head and ear, and has produced an overtaxed nerve force throughout the entire body, and especially to the whole sensory organisms of the body, so that the glands about the head and neck have become over-active in sympathy with this condition so that the swelling and soreness is produced through a sympathetic condition rather than an existing condition. That is in the glands of the neck and of the head - at the side here. The organs themselves in the body are functioning properly, rather normally, for the conditions as they exist in the body. There is a repression in the functioning of the upper portions of the lungs at times, but this is reflex rather than organic. The digestive tract is better than it has been before. The functioning of the other organs of the body are normal at present. The conditions of the body in the pelvic region are normal for the conditions existing in this body, but would be abnormal to some other bodies, but with the conditions existing in this body this is a normal flow and condition. The conditions that come to the lower portions of the body are purely from reflex causes - the pain in the head and reflexly from this to the lower portions of the body throughout the locomotor system causing the conditions that exist in the feet.

2. Now, to bring relief to this body, we find that we have two methods - either by absorption, which would be by manipulation or osteopathic treatment through the entire system to force the system to take away the conditions existing here. The cellular forces in the head have become contaminated and this would be relieved in this way - by deep-seated treatment along the entire cervical portions of the body, then a deeper treatment or relaxation of the body along the lower dorsals of the body, not so much to the upper dorsals; also the relaxation of the lower lumbar so that we keep all of the secretive forces acting through the liver and the kidneys - then the treatment of the frontal portions of the body above the solar plexus. We could also treat the body by removing by operation all of those parts that have become deadened. This we would find would produce in the body, unless very, very aptly done, a condition in the hearing of its proper or normal condition. We would find that the cutting of the glands would relax the muscles that hold the face and shape and would cause it to become unsightly. We suggest that it would be much better to use the method of relaxation, and the knife only as a last resort.
