EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now we find the physical condition of this body is in a very serious condition, for they have to do with the mental forces, as well as those of the physical condition of the body. We find there are many abnormal conditions in this body, both through the physical and the effect as is produced by the action of the mental condition with the physical, and some of the physical forces become extenuated by the action of the mental conditions they become, as it were. Yet, he has at the present time hallucinations to sub-conscious forces and their expression through the physical become exaggerated. They have to do with the shock that in times back was produced to the nervous system by outside forces, also the action of gases on the nerve system through the sensory organism, this producing the hallucinations to the physical functioning of the sensory condition - see?
-
Now, this physical body may be assisted toward gaining its equilibrium by care and attention, if taken persistently and consistent with the conditions as they arise. We may expect to have occasions of very bad conditions, severe attacks to the brain forces, in gaining its equilibrium to discernment again. We would follow, however, the vibrations as would be found in giving this to the body - see?
-
Take this as an inhalant for the lung force and the bronchial and larynx and trachea conditions. This:
Eucalyptol…1 ounce, Canadian Balsam…1/2 ounce, Rectified Oil of Turp…1/2 ounce, Heroin…1 grain.
-
This will be put into eight ounces of grain alcohol - see? When used as an inhalant they must of necessity be forced on the body. It will be heated, and the fumes of this breathed in through the nostrils and mouth - see? and the vibrations of the violet ray given all along the whole length of the spinal column, only there, from first cervical to the end of coccyx. Also the vibration as will be found from the cycloclast of the Abrahms [Abrams?] vibrator, using twenty-four ohms, placing one plate on the forehead with the band, and the other just below the umbilicus. Do that.
-
Keep this up. Be persistent. Give the vibration from the cycloclast once each day, from the electric vibrator or violet ray once every two days. The inhalations morning and evening.
-
Do that. We are through.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 9/15/23 Father, [249]‘s report: “I just received your analysis of my son, [4937]. He was over in France and was returned in bad condition. He was in a very nervous condition when he enlisted, having been in an elevated Railroad accident just prior to his enlistment. He was filled up with all kinds of inoculations by the Army doctors which made him very ill and then rushed over to France. He is a fine young fellow and is, as you say, subject to delusions, but is conscious of them and describes them. It will be very difficult to give him any kind of treatment where he is at present, so I will endeavor to have him transferred somewhere else. The Government has done but little for him in the way of therapy or any treatment, in fact.”
R2. 4/28/25 In answer to plea for financial help for the Ass’n: “I shall be glad to do what I can to help this Ass’n and I am enclosing check for $5 as a starter. I was unfortunate in the reading given me by EC and my son [4937] who is in the U.S. Veterans Hospital suffering from mental trouble. Neither reading touched in any way on our ailments. I am accepting as a fact that the test in our case was difficult in the long distance away from EC at the time the reading was made. My health is excellent at the present time, but my son who spent a year in France during the war is still suffering from mental trouble consequent to his trouble. He was not gassed, however.”
R3. 12/8/50 GD’s note: Notice the reading mentioned shock, gases, hallucinations, all of which were later verified by the father. The fumes from the railroad accident could have been referred to as the cause for the lung-throat condition, instead of after effects of being gassed in the war, which the father seemed to think was meant. Definitely the reading mentioned a physical cause for [4937]‘s mental state. Too bad the treatment wasn’t tried.
R4. 12/8/50 HLC’s comment: In basic training [4937] would automatically be subjected to all the gases in try-outs to see the reaction.
