Reports & Follow-up
R1. 5/29/51 Niece [3900]‘s letter:
“Sometime before the year 1911, Mr. Cayce gave a reading for my aunt, [4943], who lived in Omaha, Nebraska. At that time she had been diagnosed as having tuberculosis and, in spite of all the treatments, was growing steadily weaker. She would have spasms of coughing which were becoming more frequent.
“My father was living in Bowling Green, Kentucky and listened to the reading. He said that Mr. Cayce called the names of a number of streets in Omaha until he came to the one on which my aunt lived, then called the house numbers until he came to hers. The reading then described her condition in detail, giving the cause of her trouble as a pinch in the intercostal nerve at a certain place in her spine. He said this could be corrected only by osteopathic treatment, that she could take a barrel of the medicine the doctors had prescribed and it would do her no good.
“She had the osteopathic adjustments as directed and was almost immediately relieved of the spasms of coughing. She recovered completely.
“She died about 1917 or 1918 during an operation for gall stones.”
R2. GD’s note: To my knowledge EC was never in Omaha, Nebraska.
