R1. 1/22/21 [4954]‘s affidavit:

THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF JOHNSON

This is to certify that I have personally known Mr. Edgar Cayce for some few years, and desire to testify as to what I consider his marvelous powers.

I am, at the present time, one of the local surgeons for the Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad Company and have been a practicing physician and surgeon in the city of Cleburne, Texas, for the past twenty five years. [Also trustee of Sam Davis Oil Co. - see [3777] series.]

My wife [4954]‘s physical condition for the last few years not being of a satisfactory nature to me, and having knowledge of Mr. Cayce’s powers, I decided to get him to give me a reading on her condition. He did so, giving me an absolutely correct diagnosis of her condition and prescribed a most logical treatment for her which is effecting an absolute cure of the patient’s ailment.

I will further say that the said Edgar Cayce, prior to the reading, had no knowledge of my wife’s condition, had never seen or met her, nor has he, to this day, personally come in contact with her.
