R1. 1/22/21 Phillip Pendleton’s affidavit:

Birmingham, Ala.

To Whom It May Concern:

I, Phillip D. D. Pendleton, was in the U.S. Army for about two years and while I was in France I was slightly gassed and also slightly shell-shocked. I was sent to different hospitals numbers 55CCS No. 9 General, No. 21CCS, 13 General No. 37 Base, No. 204 Base, No. 5 Base, and U.S. Marine No. 4 and others, having about 200 doctors to examine me all making different diagnoses. I was taking Mercury for skin diseases which was called Lichenpaulnus.

The treatment was to be kept up for three months along with the X-ray treatment.

After I took the first treatment I asked Mr. Edgar Cayce to make a reading of me, which he did, telling me that which I know is true. After following his suggestion for three days the skin disease left me and after about 2 1/2 months I consider myself about 100% better than I was before his reading.

I have gained about 10 pounds and feel like a new man. My memory is also very much improved.

I can sincerely say that I can never pay Mr. Cayce for what he has done for my health.
