This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Phillips Hotel, Dayton, Ohio, this 17th day of October, 1923.

[Edgar Cayce; Linden Shroyer, Conductor; Bertha Rosenberg, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:00 A. M.

  1. (Q) LS: What is the present status in the Burn’s well two and one-half miles North of Kopprel, Texas? (A) EC: You see we have had this before. The other conditions as we find about these, you see, are some different. There are prospects here of good production, you see.

  2. (Q) How far are we from production, Mr. Cayce? (A) It can be produced here, you see, and that to the pool itself is only now thirty eight feet, see.

  3. (Q) What depth should the shot be packed and how much nitroglycerine should be used? (A) See, we have had more than one show, see, on this property in this present hole, but well to take the lower than the upper, see, and drill to the depth of thirty eight feet, then shoot the whole of the last show. Let the shot not be too heavy with the size of the hole. We will increase rather than decrease for some time, see. Ninety (90) to one hundred and ten (110) quarts of nitroglycerine. The productions would begin from sixty (60) to one hundred (100) and increase as the first cleaning of the hole, see.

  4. (Q) Mr. Cayce, the land owned by [953], one and a half (1 1/2) miles North of the Burn’s well, is there any oil under that land? (A) Through the Southwestern portion of that land. We find through the other portion through the North and East, gas, you see.

  5. (Q) Would it pay to drill this well and to what depth? (A) Thirty seven to thirty eight hundred feet.

  6. (Q) Mr. Cayce, would it pay to invest in testing this property and how much production would we get? (A) It is not testing. If we drill the property, it want [won’t] be a test, you see, for with the flow of production here, you see, south of the property, this would not be testing. The production would be an increase of such to show the proportion would be pay of two hundred (200) to three hundred (300) barrels or more.
