This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 8th day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the uncle - Mr. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

Time of Reading 10:45 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those anxieties in the body from the lack of coordination. These disturbances in part arise from conditions existent during the periods of gestation and those conditions surrounding the birth of the entity. These are incoordinations in the sympathetic, cerebrospinal and the sensory organism.

2. These may be materially aided but it will require long periods and a very persistent and consistent application.

3. In the present environs we would carry on these applications. To reestablish nerve ends and to bring coordination we would apply the Wet Cell Appliance daily. This would be used regular strength and carrying only gold in the beginning, so as to add to the resilience and resistance to be builded into the activities of the body itself. The attachments would be made each day for at least one hour, the body remaining quiet through this period.

4. The large nickel plate, through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially, in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold Sodium to each ounce of distilled water - and use three ounces, would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus. The small copper plate would be attached at the 9th dorsal, or almost opposite this area - or in the cerebrospinal area opposite the solar plexus.

5. Recharge the Appliance every six weeks and change the Gold Solution also every six weeks. This is at variance from the ordinary, but is that needed for this particular body.

6. Keep the attachment plates very clean. Do disconnect the leads from the Appliance when not in use and connect at least twenty minutes before the attachments are to be made to the body. Clean or polish the plates when taken off and when ready to attach. Do disconnect from the solutions, or take out of the solutions when not in use.

7. Each day following the use of this Appliance (and we would have a regular time to use this, preferably when the body is prepared for rest at night), we would give the body a gentle massage with cocoa butter. This should be massaged in the back of the brain, the lower portion of the first cervicals, all the way down and on each side of the spinal column, and on the spinal column itself to the 9th dorsal. Then begin at the end of the spine and massage upward to the 9th dorsal.

8. Do these persistently, consistently, and in six months we would give further instructions - to meet the change that will have come about if these applications are persistently followed.

R2. 3/6/51 Report by mother: “Date of onset, at birth, injury at birth, high forceps, breech baby, involving everything. Condition: Cerebral Palsy. [5011] is now 19 yrs. old. The treatment was followed for 4 yrs. and he did very well but he became too difficult to take care of physically in … and we have been at the …, in …, a private school that wouldn’t find it too much to do. We are working on speech now and feel that is the most important thing as time runs out and he must be understood. He is bright. Physiotherapy being done daily but physically I feel we have not done as well as we might have. This was a severe case and if we knew then what we know now we could have done more…”

R3. 9/28/67 GD’s note: Employee of [5011]‘s uncle visited A.R.E. today, said [5011] has for some 15 yrs. been in an institution for spastics, in …, Md. The uncle has recently gone to Russia with a group of some 40 people in the interest of some findings in Russia for spastic conditions. It seems there is no change in the condition of [5011]; however, a number of operations have been performed because of rigidity of the body.
