This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Lt. Col. [5012], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the article in Coronet.

Time of Reading Ordinance Department, 3:30 to 3:45 P. M. Camp Hood, Texas.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5012].

3. As we find, there are disturbances preventing the normal physical functioning. These have to do with the eliminations that are acted upon by the activities of the gastric flows of the digestive force. Thus we find the greater portion of the disturbance from the activity in liver and gall duct above the diaphragm - the great eruptions that become almost at times as running eczema; but these are from lack of proper coordination between the eliminating systems.

4. We have eliminations through the respiratory and perspiratory system, the alimentary canal and kidneys.

5. As we find, there is a disruption between the kidney and liver secretions dealing with eliminations. Thus the disturbances indicated.

6. First we would suggest that the body use Stearate of Zinc powder with balsam to allay irritation on the upper portion of the body; hands, shoulder, body and even at times on the abdomen and the lower limbs, but more the upper portion of the body. This combination may be had in Johnson and Johnson’s baby powder.

7. We would prepare a compound in this manner to be taken internally:

8. First we would gather green Mullein. After washing the leaves, bruise (don’t bruise before washing but afterwards) and to one-half pound of the bruised leaves (by weight) add one quart and one pint of distilled water, preferably in an enamel container - not tin or aluminum. The cover should preferably be of glass, which is preferable even to an enamel top - though an enamel container will be alright. Reduce the quantity, by very slow boiling, to one quart. Strain, and then add to this two ounces of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin and sufficient grain alcohol or spiritus frumenti to keep the solution, or prevent it from souring.

9. The dose would be one teaspoonful each day, in the morning preferably.

10. Also we would put together these ingredients:

Sulphur…1 ounce, (by measurement) Rochelle Salts…1 ounce, Cream of Tartar…1 ounce.

11. Mix these very thoroughly. Best that this be done with mortar and pestle. The dosage would be a level teaspoonful in water or dry on the tongue each day, preferably in the evening. This is to make for better eliminations.

12. In the diet keep away from fats, such as greases or fat meats of any kind. A little crisp breakfast bacon may be taken occasionally but this should be very crisp and all of the fat out of same. Fish, fowl and lamb may be taken but never fried. These should be broiled or roasted or baked, as the case may be. Plenty of green vegetables; such as water cress, celery, lettuce, carrots, radishes, onions and the like. At least one or two of these should be taken each day. These may be prepared in a salad using mayonnaise if desirable. Often they may be grated or cut and mixed with gelatin, preferably lime or lemon gelatin.

13. If these are adhered to, we will find that we will eliminate these disturbances, bring better conditions for this body.

15. (Q) What is causing pains or ache in upper arms and on left rear side of tongue? (A) These are effects of neuritis, by the poisons in the system causing pressures upon the nerve system. These will be alleviated when the eliminations are set up and when the disturbance in the alimentary canal is corrected.

When beginning these properties, if there is an excess fullness felt in the abdomen, do have a high enema or colonic irrigation but scientifically given, to clarify or clear the alimentary canal. It would be well to have this done in the beginning and gain about ten days later.

Do these and we will relieve these disturbances from this body.

R1. 10/17/52 Report by D. H. Fogel, M.D., after interviewing Mr. [5012]: “Eczematoid Dermatitis; Venenata, Generalized. Treated for 2 successive 4 month periods in Army General Hospitals with incomplete relief.

“On EC regime, which was ambulatory, baby powder brought prompt relief of itching. Although the prescribed colonics were omitted, there was complete relief of condition in 4 months. No recurrence to date.”

R2. 10/17/52 Mr. [5012]‘s description of condition: “Small white bumps broke out on wrist. These broke, letting out a clear liquid. The irritation spread to arms, shoulders, back. Constant itching produced mental depression and worry. Heavy red whelps appeared on stomach and legs but there were no eruptions in these areas.

“In 1947 following heavy drinking of an unusual liquor, kidney trouble developed and was treated, but at no time have the skin eruptions returned.”
