This Psychic Reading given at Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 8th day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Pfc. 1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: T. C. Squadron - yes - quite busy!

3. Yes, we have those disturbances that have been and are a part of the experience of this body. These arise from an injury or a strain in the muscular forces of the area in the 9th dorsal center.

4. This, as we find, causes the disturbance throughout the back, the tiredness to the lower extremities especially, and the inability of the body at times to concentrate - or it causes restlessness and upsetting of the digestive forces, making for general disturbance through the body.

5. We find that there should be applied the osteopathic massage, not merely the adjustment, for these strains are in the muscular forces and the connections between cerebrospinal and sympathetic nervous systems are under strain in the area that causes the disorder.

6. These osteopathic massages and corrections we would give twice a week, and once a week we would apply over the area the short wave electrical treatment to break up the congestion that has been an accumulation there. For this happened some time back. At least ten of the osteopathic adjustments should be given and at least five of the short wave treatments. Thus we will bring better conditions for this body.

8. (Q) Would this also relieve the headaches? (A) It will relieve all of the disturbances that have been caused by those pressures upon the nerve forces that make for incoordination between cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems.

9. (Q) What should be done for constipation? (A) The control of same with diet of vegetables and fruits will be the better. Occasionally, in the beginning here, when we are breaking up these pressures, have a high colonic irrigation.

10. (Q) Hayfever? (A) This is a part of the same disturbance, and is not existent in the body at the present time.

11. (Q) Am allergic to certain foods - (A) All of these are conditions that are a part of these disturbances. Do as outlined.

R1. 10/14/52 Reply to questionnaire-letter: ”…I am afraid that I can not be of much help as I was never able to follow Mr. Cayce’s readings to the letter. For instance, I have never taken any electrical treatments nor any high colonic irrigations. I have been much helped by some 100 treatments taken from Mr. Paul Arley, D.C. in regards to my back trouble and hayfever. However, I have not been cured. I do recall the experience of a strange feeling of uneasiness at the time the reading took place. Yes, it was very strange. It felt like someone was looking over on me on the inside - made me feel very nervous. I was on duty at the time the reading took place. I do recall falling down some stairs about 30 years ago. At the time I landed at the foot of the stairs, I felt like I could not breathe and could not get up for about a minute. However, outside of that immediate pain I felt no other after effect. Sorry, but this is all the information I can give you.”

B1. 3/23/44 Letter from [5015] to EC: ”…There are several things which ail me and of which I would appreciate your reading. I have put them down as follows, in order of their importance, hoping that you will be able to read them all. Pain in the midsection part of the back. Nothing shows on X-rays. Most painful at night and in the morning, or when remaining in one position for any length of time. Pain seems to be centralized in the midsection of the back, but sometimes moves either up or down. Have had pain for the last 5 years but not as bad as now. Have tried chiropractors, heat and infra-red rays without relief. Very bad pain, sometimes like a strain above or beneath the eyes. Vision is perfect 20/20. I am very sensitive to strong light and bright sunshine. Seems that I get strain when having to concentrate my sight on any given point for any length of time - especially when reading with insufficient light. Usually very bad pain the day after I have had just a very slight amount of alcohol. When pain is on the eyeballs are painful when slightly pressed. General low-down feeling. Always very tired and without pep. I am not able to give any other information on this than that I have hayfever and am allergic to certain foods, they give me hives. I am also constipated, seems to be inherited as it applies to everyone in my family, however none of us have been able to notice any bad effects from it. I am looking forward with great hopes and faith to your reading. Hope this information will be of value…”
