This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of April, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5024], new Associate Member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [3232].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: We have the body here, [5024].

3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions preventing the better physical functioning of the body. These have been a gradual accumulation of poisons arising from poor eliminations. These are particularly from inactivity of the gall duct and the liver secretions. The accumulations through colon cause a pressure that produces an abnormal pressure in the heart’s circulation or the whole of central blood and nerve supply and the organs of same being involved more or less at various times. Thus the reflexes that indicate at times the reactions of being quite tired, heaviness, shortness of breath, irregularity in heart’s activity, the conditions through eliminations from the congestions in the liver area and the kidneys at times become particularly involved.

4. Except for the conditions in the gall duct area there is not an organic disorder, but the others in lungs, heart and kidneys as yet are purely reflex or active upon the functioning of the organs themselves.

5. The headaches, the conditions in the lower extremities are at times also the result of pressures upon the nerve forces through the circulation and the effects of poisons in system.

6. To bring about much better conditions we would begin at first with the Castor Oil Packs over the liver and gall duct, extending to the caecum area; that is, the whole right side. Keep these on for an hour or an hour and a quarter each day for three days in succession each week - the same three days each week.

7. After the third day do take internally, at least two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil.

8. Then the next day have a high colonic irrigation.

9. After resting then from these for a period of five days, repeat. Also repeat the colonic irrigation, if in the first irrigation there are the indications of mucous. Let these be scientifically given, not attempting to take them by self, that is, the irrigations.

10. After the second series of the Castor Oil Packs, we would begin with osteopathic adjustments, with particular reference to the upper cervicals and the upper dorsals and from the 9th dorsal throughout the lumbar and sacral areas. We would have these two or three times each week until at least six or eight such adjustments have been made.

11. Then leave these off and begin again with the Castor Oil Packs and repeat at least two series in the same manner as first indicated.

12. Then rest a week and have once a week the osteopathic treatments until at least six more have been taken.

13. In the matter of the diet, keep away from fried foods. Do increase the amount of raw foods; that is, lettuce, celery, carrots, radishes, all of those that are taken as salads - with mayonnaise at times and at others have these prepared with gelatin.

14. Do these and we will bring better conditions for this body.

16. (Q) What causes blurring eyesight? (A) These pressures. With the adjustments, have particular reference given to the centers in the upper dorsals and cervicals for the setting up of drainages. Also the use regularly of the head and neck exercises will set up drainages and should correct the conditions in the eyes.

Occasionally, once a week, after the osteopathic treatments have been begun, we would also use the violet ray with the double eye applicator. This will clear the vision where there is the tendency for the accumulations, though not yet fully set up. Use this not more than one minute.

17. (Q) Is there a cataract in eye? (A) As just indicated there are accumulations. If drainages are set up and there is the breaking up of same with the use of the violet ray in the manner indicated, keeping up the head and neck exercise, morning and evening very consistently, we should correct these conditions.

Do that.

I have been ill a long time, but when my eyes were so I could get no help from medical men, I knew there was the spirit of God in me guiding me somewhere for help…”

B4. 8/21/43 Letter: ”…I have been sick so long and am getting weaker instead of better. I had one of those bad spells yesterday. I hope I won’t have many more, as they always leave me weak, I want to live as long - until I have a certain plan to accomplish for the benefit of those whom are in need and that is my main reason for getting a reading and getting myself well… As I am not able to go out from being ill… We only have a small income and my husband has not worked for years and the doctors got a lot of my hard earned money. But I will provide and prove myself. You see I have learned a lot since reading ‘There Is A River’… I do not particularly cling to my Catholic faith, my mind is clear and I want only to be a good Christian…”

(2) Will I get better sight again? (3) Do I have a heart condition? (4) Do I have gallstones and what causes pain in my intestines, right side? (5) Whatever else you see, just tell me.
