1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [5026].

3. As we find, there are those disturbances causing a great deal of pain to the body. These are neuritic-arthritic tendencies and cause especially the knees, hips and feet a times to give a great deal of pain.

4. These are the effects of poison accumulations through the body.

5. As an element or to increase circulation and purify glandular system, begin taking Atomidine internally; one drop in a little water each morning before breakfast for five days in succession.

6. On the fifth day take five drops and then have a Sitz Bath, or a tub bath using almost a saturated solution of Epsom Salts. Put at least fifteen pounds of Epsom Salts in twenty-five to thirty gallons of very warm water. While the body is in this Bath, do massage the limbs, especially the knees.

7. As soon as the body is taken from this Bath, give a thorough massage with an equal combination of Olive Oil (heated) and Tincture of Myrrh. Massage in a circular motion around the knee, up the hip, down to the feet, especially in the heel, the Achillean bursae and the central bursa in the feet.

8. Follow this procedure about one week out of each month - the same week each month.

9. After the first round of the Atomidine followed by the Epsom Salts Bath and massage, we would have a high colonic irrigation; in fact it would be well to have a colonic following each series of the treatments - or about once every six weeks until three or four have been taken.

10. After the first colonic (not before) begin with osteopathic adjustments with particular reference to the areas from the 3rd cervical, 9th dorsal and throughout the lumbar-sacral. These should be relaxing, not stimulating treatments.

11. Do keep away from fats. Do leave off a great deal of salt, or use only the vegetable salt or kelp and deep sea salt. Don’t use the regular table salt. Have an increased amount of fresh raw vegetables - these will be better for the body.

12. Doing these we will gradually bring better conditions for the body.

13. Ready for questions.

R1. 4/9/44 Dr. C. R. Wakeling’s letter: ”…Also through another reading given for Mr. [5026] and the following of the suggestions in it, I aided in curing him of his arthritis, AND HE HAS STAYED CURED, by carrying out the instructions given in his reading…”

R2. 6/47 Dr. Wakeling’s comment: ”…During the time I had the care of Mrs. [2956] I noticed that her husband had some arthritis. On April 15, 1944, one month after his wife died, Mr. [5026] received a reading from Mr. Cayce. This reading described his arthritis and treatment for it. The treatment was carried on under our direction. That was really the first case I had attempted to follow and I followed it exactly to the letter. After a very few months this man’s arthritis completely left him. He has been cured and has had no trouble for the last few years.”

B1. 3/8/43 Daughter’s letter: “I have only just learned of your great and inspired work for suffering humanity, and hearing about it, seems an answer to our prayers, for my mother [2956] who suffers great pain and is, I am convinced, very ill from some growing disease within her body…”

B2. 4/3/44 Daughter’s letter: “I have to write you the sad news that mother died on March 13, after a week’s illness… The appointment which was to have been for her 3rd Physical Reading we would like to have for daddy, as he has had such a miserable time with his knee and shoulder and no doctors have ever been able to help him much. He is so dear and good and has always taken such care of us all that we want very much to keep him well and strong, especially now. Thank you again for all you have done.”

B3. 4/3/44 EC’s reply: ”…I had heard from Dr. Wakeling [C. R. Wakeling, M.D., D.O.] about the passing of your mother… We will be very glad to transfer the appointment we had for your mother for a Physical Reading to your father…”

B4. 4/12/44 Daughter’s letter: “Thank you so much for your kind letter… What we want to know about especially is his knee and also pain in the shoulder from time to time. If heat treatments should be given by Dr. Wakeling or if there should be other means used, Dr. Wakeling is very helpful and anxious to work with the reading as you know. Daddy is now in bed with the knee very bad again, so I am pleased with your help… He will be at …, Mass.”
