1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [5030].

4. In analyzing and interpreting the records indicated from the entity’s experiences in the earth, as well as urges arising from sojourn in realms of consciousness or other phases of consciousness, we find an entity well gifted in many things, yet subject to much of that which is interpreted in self as fear. Yet the entity rarely acknowledges such. Remember through faith, love, kindness, patience, longsuffering, one may cast our fear.

5. If this entity, in this particular sojourn, would make advancements materially, mentally, spiritually, it must first apply in self that which will wholly cast out fear; fear of others, fear of influences, fear of what may come to pass. For if the entity comes to that consciousness which is a part of the universal consciousness, that ye abide - in body, mind and purpose - as one with the Creative Forces, ye are at peace with the world and have nothing to fear. For God will not allow any soul to be tempted beyond that it is able to bear - if the soul puts its whole trust in the Creative Forces manifested in the Christ-Consciousness.

6. As indicated in the composite of the astrological and earthly sojourns, we find these apparent in the urges of the entity:

7. One interested in things psychic, things unusual. The entity is oft prone to give power to influences without self. This causes much of the fear, and the entity accredits happenings with activities that have come about from a part of that builded by the entity’s own activity. For mind is the builder.

8. The entity should use these abilities rather as an investigator than as one would apply such. Rather let the universal consciousness and its trust and faith, hope and desire in same be the activity. Let the results come of themselves.

9. The entity is also analytical. This, as may be indicated from that just given regarding the unusual, the psychic, or the phenomenon of an unusual nature, keeps the body-mind (now, body-mind) rather in a state of confusion.

10. Thus that needed most in the entity’s present experience is for the entity to study self. What is thy ideal? What is thy God? What is that controlling thee? For instance, when you sleep what keeps your heart still beating? Is it true that in Him, the Father of light, God, ye live and move and have thy being? Or is it purely a physical phenomenon? Is God the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein, or did it happen of itself? Know what ye believe and know who is the author of thy beliefs; not just because you have been taught this or that by any man. They can only bring to your mind that already contained and all those influences which may add to or take from, according to what spirit or truth ye entertain. For truth maketh thee not afraid. Truth is truth everywhere the same, under every circumstance. It is creative. For light, the Christ, Jesus is the truth, is the perfect way. They who climb up some other way are thieves and robbers to their own better selves.

11. Then know what ye believe and the author of it. Know that He is able to keep that ye commit unto Him. So, walk and talk oft with Him. For thy body indeed is the Temple of the living God. For He hath promised to meet thee, in humbleness, in love, in patience, in kindness. Thus may all fear be cast out.

12. Astrological urges have come to mean little, only that they are as urges. But no urge surpasses the will of self in its relationship to Creative Forces.

13. That thou art conscious of being thyself, [5030], now, should be evidence to thee that the First Cause, God, is mindful of thee and hath given thee an opportunity to be a manifestation of His love, His grace, His mercy. If ye would find mercy with God, be merciful to others. If ye would have love with God, love thy fellow man. For as He is love, the earth thereof in light,* He gave the new commandment, “Love one another.”

14. As to the appearances in the earth, these have been few. Not all of these would be given, only those that are a part of the consciousness in the present experience, those controlling or directing that which may be used or rejected in the present consciousness of the entity.

15. As indicated, be warned regarding fear, its sources, and as to how to eliminate same.

16. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity during the early settlings in the “city of brotherly love”.

17. Hence the entity in its inner consciousness in the present is a Quaker, feeling that what is to happen, will happen. What does happen is by the will, then, of that ye create in thine own consciousness, according to that power ye accredit to that which works within thee.

18. The entity was then a teacher, a founder of principles, especially as related to harmonious colors in relationships to individuals.

19. Hence in the entity’s activities, it will find that all of its agreements and activities must be made in the winter months, not in the summer - for those have become parts of the entity’s consciousness.

20. The entity will find that the fifteenth of June will ever be a dreaded day for the entity unless on those days it has something green about the body, yea even green stones of any kind. Their vibrations may keep the entity from fear.

21. Then let not the green-eyed monster, jealousy, be at the root of much of thy troubles.

23. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land when there was the entrance of the children of promise; among the Canaanites who made overtures for consideration by those people who were under the direction of Joshua in the experience.

24. The entity came to know those people, yea was even wedded to a Canaanite whose sister was one familiar with spirits, that brought fear to the entity; then in the name Leah.

25. Thus this has brought, combined with the knowledge that it companioned with those outside of its own peoples, the consciousness of a fear of things dealing with people connected with varied characters of groups or principles.

26. Thus the needs for the entity analyzing self, and its abilities may bring to the experience in this present sojourn peace, harmony, as well as material success.

27. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land among the groups who were banished with the Priest.

28. The entity chose to be of the Priest’s group, yet in the lands to which the group was banished the entity undertook to set up, after the recall of the Priest, those activities in which the entity became as the director of the ruler of the land; companioning, then, with that ruler in the Abyssinian land. The name then was Is-It-El.

29. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and how: Study to show thyself approved unto thy ideal. In those tenets of the law, but rather in that study, learn to write, learn to instruct. For while at times the tongue may be slow, the mind is quick.

31. (Q) What and where is my highest job - where can I use all my ability or combination of them? (A) As indicated, in the assistance or as an assistant in the judgements in a law office, but writing for those who need instructions as to how to contain their own selves.

32. (Q) Shall I try to pass the Bar exam? (A) Not necessarily, if there is the application for being an assistant in some good organized group of bar individuals, or lawyers.

33. (Q) Where? (A) In the “city of brotherly love”.

34. (Q) Shall I try to get in touch with E. D. I.? (A) No! Best to let him alone. For these are sources of fear. Let perfect love, perfect confidence, perfect faith cast out fear.

R1. 5/5/44 [5030]‘s letter: ”…Your reading tells me to be a ‘Legal Assistant’, so I will proceed to do just that. Your reading for me was wonderful, indeed, even tho it made me cry. I can thank and thank and thank that wonderful voice and mind that came through you for me, and it was, of course, interesting for me to find that I went as far back as the Egyptian dynasties and went with Joshua to Canaan, altho I am sorry to find that I married a Canaanite and was on the wrong side of the fence, I believe. Apparently, in this life, I must overcome FEAR, as it relates to men and marriage, and to all other things, too. WELL, I will pray, pray, very, very hard, and trust only in God, and stop worrying and fearing. I did want to ask more questions, as I believe everyone does. I wanted to ask about my father […], 87 years old, as I have taken care of him, and it has been very difficult for me to look after him and to do perfect work in my job at the same time.

“I wanted to ask him [EC] where I could go to help, for help, I mean, in this matter, but that will have to wait for another reading… You cannot know, really, how much that reading meant to me. I keep on thinking about that reading and will do as I am told. I will rely entirely on God, not on myself. I cannot thank you in words at all. It is beyond human thanks. It is a very wonderful thing, and the mind that talked to me is far, far above and that is, of course, the reason why I wanted to ask so many more questions…”

R2. 5/17/44 [5030]‘s letter: ”…I will get rid of my fears and live close to God. I have always desired, particularly since I have come into the beliefs of the Christian Science Church, to help all people and lead a life of prayer. In fact, I would like to work for Unity School of Christianity, Silent Unity - in their prayer group, and dedicate my life to it, but your reading tells me to be a legal assistant, which is the work I am doing right now, and am well qualified for… Your reading tells me distinctly that I shall be a legal assistant, and perhaps pass the bar. How far I am supposed to follow that I do not know, particularly as I really desire to lead a life of prayer, but I suppose I am to lead the life of prayer in connection with my work…”

R3. 7/6/44 [5030]‘s letter: “I told you I was coming to your Congress, but I did not come because: 1. I did not have enough money. 2. I could not get away from my job; I am working night and day here. 3. I cannot leave my father. He is 87 yrs. old. Now, I am a shorthand reporter, among other things, although your reading tells me to be a legal assistant… I have been told that I am an exceedingly fine legal assistant. This is really the topmost question as to how I can take care of my father; particularly so (and this is very important because of sabotage) because there are some persons unknown to me who have indirectly harmed my father.

When I have prayed for rains for his garden they have written for prayers to healers in distant states, and asked for the opposite. The people praying not knowing the dryness of the ground here actually prayed for dry weather, thus bringing about drought. This has, indirectly but effectively, harmed my father. I have no desire to harm people because of my desire to pray. I think I should be permitted to pray without interference or opposition, particularly when my prayers are for peace, for rain, for healing showers for gardens, and prayers for masses of people. That is why I ask you to find out from God Himself…how to take care of my father…”

B1. 11/15/43 [5030]‘s letter: “I finished reading ‘There Is A River’ by Thomas Sugrue. I read right through most of the night because it was so wonderful to me. I have been studying metaphysics for the last 5 years, the way to pray, but there are so many, many things I do not know about how to find a direct route to God. This is a very critical time of my life, and there are several very important questions I want answered, which are things I have a great need to know. It is like asking for life itself. I would be profoundly grateful for a reading on these questions concerning myself. If you will let me know the price, I will pay it.

“These are the questions: (1) What is my right work? (2) Is it law or literature or marriage, or all of them? (3) Who and where is the man I should marry or will marry? I would like to get married, and what move shall I make to get married? (4) To whom shall I apply for my right job, when, and for what job? (5) What shall I do to get my own home, in my own name, or in the name of my husband, if it comes through marriage? I very, very much want my own home, my own furniture, my own garden, a modern home, where I can put down some roots. (6) How shall I get the money to buy a home for myself (except of course, if it comes through marriage)? (7) How can I cure grey hair? (8) Shall I fly to Florida to see my nephew? These questions mean life itself to me. I believe in reincarnation, and I ask God to show me how and where to use my highest abilities here, now.”

B2. 11/23/43 [5030]‘s letter: “I have been studying metaphysical and spiritual books for years in order to make the highest possible spiritual life for myself. I began by studying law when I was around 20 years old, and have ability in 3 different lines: law, literary work (writing), and executive business and also domestic (marriage). I am now 49 or 50 years old (to my own knowledge, I am 49), and think that if I do not find the right place for myself now, it may be too late in this life, and I may have to come back in reincarnation, which I do not want to do. I want to do God’s will now, IN THIS LIFE. I very greatly believe in Divine Plan, in Spiritual Existence, and that everyone must eventually move into their destined plan. I myself, am puzzled just now greatly. About 95% of my ability lies idle. Finances are very difficult for me. I have so many conflicting problems that I want to go for help direct to God. I believe that your gift (either contacting the subconscious universal mind or the superconscious mind) is direct from God.

“The questions I want to ask are my very life, as I want to know about whether I shall marry, and whom; and also I want to know where my right job lies, and to whom I shall apply, when and for what? My father is now in the hospital. It is taking every penny I earn to pay his bills… I will pray for more money, so that I can have enough for a reading, as I want it very, very badly. I do not need physical healing, as I am a student of Christian Science and believe in healing through prayer. Most of the time I can keep myself well by knowledge that my body is spiritual. I am so intensely desirous of having the Will of God revealed to me, as to my job, my marriage (whether I should marry and whom) my right home. I am classified as an ‘Advanced Legal Assistant’, but am no member of the Bar. One of the things I want to know is whether I shall try, at my age, to pass the Bar Examination. B3. 11/29/43 [5030]‘s letter: “I feel in urgent need of a Life Reading and a Mental and Spiritual Reading from you. I do not want to wait, and I think I should not wait. Something tells me to do this immediately. I filled out your application blank and enclose it herewith… I very greatly hope this is satisfactory, and that I will be given the Life Reading and the Mental and Spiritual Reading immediately. I work for the … Labor Relations Board in …, Pa. as Advanced Legal Assistant. Have worked here 4 1/2 years. I have had 20 years in law offices in N.Y., Pa. and …, D.C., and am on the legal staff here, although I am not a member of the Bar and have not gone to an accredited law school. My father is 86 years old, a clergyman, and my mother who is dead, was the daughter of a clergyman, Rev. […]. I have uncles who were clergymen when living and cousins who are clergymen. My credit is good and the $10. will be paid in January 1944. I have been studying metaphysics and healing through prayer for several years. I try to solve all my problems in accordance with the will of God. My greatest difficulty is in knowing what the Will of God is for me personally… I do not want to waste any more time, doing wrong things, that is, in not using my ability and talents, and I want to progress with great speed, spiritually, in this life, and to come close to or actually in spiritual perfection in this life…”

B4. 2/6/44 [5030]‘s letter: ”…Herewith enclosed is my other check for $10… I now request a Reading, a Mental Reading, not a Physical Reading, as I believe that prayer cures and I have cured myself through prayer. What I do want is some information and direction DIRECT FROM GOD, and I want the following questions asked: (1) In what State of the U.S. can I take my Bar Examination without going back to law school? That is, with a course of study which I would do at night? (2) Shall I go to that State or States and take it; if so, shall I try to locate in that State permanently? (3) Am I supposed to help my father any further? If so, how? I have already given up 10 years and think I have done wrong. (4) Shall I buy my own home? If so, where will I get the money? (5) WHERE AND WHAT IS MY RIGHT JOB? To whom and when shall I apply? (6) Will I be married? Shall I try to get married? If so, to whom? (7) Where is F. J. E. who I knew 10 years ago in …? Is he married? Does he want to marry me? Shall I try to contact him? Does he know that I forgive him and he is free to go where he desires? Does he know that I would marry him if he really wants to marry me? (8) Shall I go to … and live with Miss A. R. M. and try to write best novels ever written? If so, when? (9) How can I BEST help my nephew, Lt. A. A. F.? (10) Shall I join the Christian Science Church? Shall I try to be a practitioner? (11) Why does the … law firm, or some persons connected with it in the past, or some other persons, follow me, record my conversation (at least they did in the past 10 years), and attempt various methods, to annoy me, through destructions of various kinds? How can I stop it? I think it is a bad influence on children. How can I make them see that to pray for wrong things merely falls back on them? Is there anything I can do to make them see that I REALLY LIKE LAW TO AN INTENSE DEGREE and that they were mistaken about me? How can I tell them that they would have cured my nervousness if they had sent me to law school, or put me in a law job, instead of stenography?”

B5. 3/7/44 [5030]‘s letter: ”…There are one or two questions I have been asking, searching for the answer for 10 years… I DO NEED A LIFE READING. A reading that will tell me about marriage… 1. I WANT MARRIAGE AND MY OWN HOME. HOW CAN I SECURE THIS PERFECT MARRIAGE AND PERFECT HOME? There is a man E. D. T., whom I knew over 10 years ago in …, who flies his plane, or somebody’s airplane, over me, 3 times a day and more, over my office, my home or wherever I am, even in church. I want this man to know I love him. Am I supposed to marry him, in spite of the fact that I am older than he? I would like to get a letter to him. Shall I do this? And if so, where can I locate him? I have tried the airports near here, but my letter came back to me. Am I supposed to take care of father? Shall I buy a house? Where?…”

B6. 3/16/44 [5030]‘s letter: ”…I enclose herewith again my check… I, of course, realize that the person in your office who thought I do not want to wait my turn is mistaken. If I seemed impatient, you must consider that a great compliment, as it is really like talking to God and getting a direct answer. Who would not be impatient under those circumstances?…”

B7. 4/5/44 [5030]‘s letter: “Revised questions submitted: (1) How can I straighten out and end, forever, the activities of those people who have followed or preceded me wherever I went and often obstructed me secretly, through great misunderstanding, for the last 10 years? (2) I seek the divine purpose alone, as I consider this a waste of time, money and thought. (3) How can I end it? (4) Shall I try? (5) If anyone thinks I have harmed them, how can I bring good-will, and how can I assure these people that I seek the divine purpose alone, despite evidence to the contrary?” [Additional questions submitted at end of 5030-1.]
