1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions as I ask them.

2. EC: He ought to stay in. Yes, we have the body of [5033].

3. As we find, there is a complication of disturbances here. That which has been administered, to keep down the effects from incoordination between the cerebro-spinal and the sympathetic nervous systems, has worked a hardship to the conditions of the eyes.

4. Through those periods during and just after the birth, we find that there was an injury to the coccyx end of the spine. This has caused a tendency for contraction, and has formed a lesion in the area of the lacteal duct. This causes periods of incoordination between the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic nerve forces, at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cervical center.

5. The position of the pressure, and the effect of the drugs that have been given to allay the spasmodic reactions, cause the nerves to the eyes to be taut and caught in such ways as to give improper reaction between the sympathetic and nerve forces throughout the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal, and with the conditions in the upper cervical tend to bring dis-formation or development for the body.

6. We find that it is not possible to do away entirely with the properties being used as the restrainer in the nerve centers, but we would begin to apply, for at least three days in succession each week, Castor Oil Packs over the lacteal duct area. Use heavy flannel saturated with Castor Oil, and when this is placed so as to prevent soiling of linens, apply the electric pad.

7. Follow this by a thorough massage, not too severe in the beginning, for the fullness there will be indicated in the right side just below the gall duct areas and along that area to the caecum.

8. After each 3 day series of the Castor Oil Packs, take internally 2 tablespoonsful of Olive Oil.

9. It would be well to have the colon cleansed occasionally by the use of high enemas or colonic irrigations.

10. Also osteopathically correct gradually the subluxations that are existent in the coccyx end of the spine. Massage the last three segments. These, with the corrections and the coordinating of the conditions at the upper dorsal and through the cervical by a good osteopath, (Posey would be very good) will bring better conditions for this body.

11. Unless there is the increasing of the sedative he will apparently be worse, but if we will remove the cause, in a year we would or should eliminate the possibility of the returning of these spasmodic conditions.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Will this also correct the near-sightedness? (A) As has been given, this is for the eyes as well as for the adhesions or lesions in the areas of the lacteal duct, as well as correcting that in the end of the segments, or the end of the spine or the coccyx. Do that.

B1. 2/44 Mother’s letter: “I have very recently read your life’s history learning of the many miraculous diagnoses you have made, together with cures you have suggested for various troubles. To know of your faith and Christianity throughout your entire life, one can only recognize your power as an instrument of God. An additional interest has been added by my knowing so well many of the people you know and that were spoken of in your book. I know your sister, Miss [243]. Dr. R. E. A. [Dr. Reardon] and Dr. Blackburn brought our only child, a son, into the world 18 years ago.

“It is this son that I wish to bring to your attention. I do wish you could meet and know this boy. He is a conscientious Christian boy with no bad habits, and is very popular with all ages. He is this year a senior in high school, doing real good work. He is 5 ft. 11 inches tall, and weighs 159 pounds. To look at him, one would think he was a perfect specimen of a healthy young man. He was sick quite a bit when he was growing up, but nothing serious except the things I shall now bring to your attention. At the age of 4, he was sick and had a convulsion. When he was 9, he had another one, and during his 11th year, he had 5 convulsions, 2 of them coming the same morning, a few hours apart. We took him to Dr. B. A. R.’s [Dr. Barker, M.D.] clinic in …, Md., where after a complete examination they found no cause for the convulsions, but put him under medication which they hoped would help, and tried to give us some hope that he might get well. Since his 11th year, he has had no more, but I have kept up the medication without missing a dose since that time. I feel that I would rather keep it up the rest of his life than see him have another attack. Now that he is growing in size, it would be even more terrible. I have prayed that God might open the way to me to someone who could remove the cause of the trouble and give us some relief of our anxiety.

“His only complaint is occasionally that his eyes are doing funny at which time I give him a thorough cleansing through the intestinal tract. They found nothing wrong with his eyes in …, Md., but he is very nearsighted and has been fitted with glasses by an eye specialist in Ky. I am wondering if the eyes have any connection with the other trouble, and if the eyesight too, can be corrected. No one here, not even most intimate friends, know of my son’s problem. Even he doesn’t realize what happened to him. We do want every protection for our son and if you could know him and the circumstances, you wouldn’t blame us… We would like to have you give our son a reading, and if you would prefer, I might be able to bring him to you when school is out. If you think that unnecessary and have other suggestions, I shall be glad to hear from you. He is in school from 8 to 3 each day, except Saturday, and will be until he finishes the 30th day of May…”

B2. 3/15/44 Mother’s letter: “I appreciated your prompt answer to my letter, but am greatly disappointed that I have to wait so long on the reading for my son…”

B3. 4/23/44 Mother’s letter: ”… At the appointed time, my son and I will be at our home …, Ky. The questions I would like to ask are: (1) What was the cause of the convulsive seizures which my son had several years ago, and what can be done to remove that cause? (2) Is there any way we may be assured that he will never have any more trouble of that kind? (3) What causes the trouble he has occasionally with his eyes, such as his saying that his eyes are doing funny, and for a few minutes fail to focus? (4) Can anything be done to correct his nearsightedness or will he always have to wear glasses?
