This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of May, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [5035], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes. As we find, in many ways this body is very good, but there has been the use of contraceptives as to cause a great deal of trouble through those periods when there was produced cold and congestion at the end of the periods.

3. This inflammation, or congestion, has caused the misplacement of the womb itself. Hence, there are those severe periods of pain, as well as those conditions in the circulation at such periods.

4. We would find that if there are made some ten to twelve osteopathic adjustments in the ilium plexus, throughout the sacral, even to the 9th dorsal, these will aid.

5. There would be the necessity of douches, so that there will be less irritation in the periods when there is a filling of the organs just previous to the periods. Hence there should be douches of warm, body-temperature water using Atomidine, a teaspoonful to each quart of water. Take two or three at least, beginning three or four days before the time of periods.

6. And with these corrections and these precautions, we should find less and less disturbance.

7. When there are the periods of pain, use heavy salt made into a pack and apply at the pubic center. This will relieve the pain during the period.

8. Beware of too much of raw vegetables for this body, although carrots and artichokes (every kind of artichoke) taken two or three times during the week. The carrots should be taken raw, grated, or eaten as they are, or prepared with gelatin.

9. Thus we will make better conditions for this body, and there may be, if the periods are planned, conception for this body, but not until there is the straightening in the position of the womb which may be accomplished by the osteopath.

10. We are through with this reading.

B1. 1/16/44 [5035]‘s letter: “You asked me to remind you, when I wrote, that I am the one who telephoned you today from …, N.J. I do hope that I will not have to wait too long for my reading, as time is precious in my case. Last year, I had 3 x-ray treatments to ovaries and pituitary gland with the hope that they would be stimulated, but alas, I am afraid, that I have had the opposite effect, as my menstruation has stopped. I have taken one grain of thyroid daily, and a series of doses of praynon. In the beginning the latter seemed to restore my period artificially, but later it has not done so. I have always wanted a baby, but the doctors have never found the reason for my sterility, though I have had many of them treat me over a period of years. Please ask your guide if it is too late for any hope. I think the work you are doing is really marvelous,and I only wish that I could know more about it. Hoping to hear soon.”
