Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Penna.

1. GD: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body and those disturbances which influence and cause the mental and physical reactions with this body, [5036].

3. As we find there are physical or pathological disturbances that contribute the greater part to the conditions existent here.

4. In some time back there was a physical injury to the coccyx portion of the spine, that which joins with the last of the lumbar-sacral segments. This, when there are activities that set up irritations, causes the incoordination between cerebro-spinal and sympathetic nervous systems; so that there are those periods when the activities between impulses from brain center and from general radiation of the sensory forces do not coordinate.

5. These cause periods when there are the excitements to the reactions, loss of memory, loss of impulses for the reactions to normalcy or rationality in the nerve forces of the body.

6. While sedatives or medications may be used to prevent reactions from impulses through cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems, through the medulla oblongata and the larger nerves to brain and those that branch to sympathetic and cerebrospinal areas, we find that these do not remove the sources or causes of conditions.

7. Mechanically (that is, osteopathically) we would make corrections in the centers where these subluxations exist, or where there are pressures upon the nerves. These treatments we would give about twice a week, followed each time by the short wave electrical treatment - three amperes should be sufficient.

8. Doing these, we should bring much bettered conditions. These should eventually eliminate the sources or causes of these disturbances.

9. With these we will find better eliminations must be set up through the osteopathic manipulations as well as by the use of laxatives to clarify or purify the system from the sedatives that have been a portion of the administrations for the body.

10. But these as we find would bring the better conditions for this body of [5036].

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) What doctor would be suggested to carry out these treatments? (A) Any good osteopath. There are those associated in the hospital service in Philadelphia. There are those in Paradise who may work with these suggestions, or many others who are in sympathy with the measures indicated or who will follow the suggestions given. Soden would be well.

13. (Q) Would it be best to remain on the farm? (A) When there are bettered conditions for the body, activities on the farm may be very well, but it will necessitate that there be much improved conditions with the body.

14. (Q) How soon should the treatments be started? (A) Make the examinations of the conditions existent as we have indicated. If these are found, begin at once - and they will be found to exist in the areas indicated.

To be sure, in the applications there is the necessity to coordinate the natural lesions formed in lumbar axis, 9th dorsal and 3rd cervical, through the nerve pressures in the body, and also to break up lesions in the area of the lacteal duct near the gall duct area.

15. (Q) Is it possible to bring her condition to normal? (A) This will depend upon the manner in which the approach is made. It is possible to bring the condition near to normal. If there will be done these things suggested, we will find there will be response. As we find it will be hard to begin with, or there will even be the fighting against the first few corrections, but after these are overcome we will find normalcy in reflexes so much better that we will have the cooperation from the body.

If this date is satisfactory, please let us know a few days before that time just where your wife will be. You may also prepare a list of questions you wish to be asked at the reading…”

B3. 4/29/44 Questions orally submitted by husband to GD previous to reading: “(1) What method of treatment do you advise? (2) Is there a good possibility of eventual cure? (3) Would you advise having a rectal treatment by doctor; if so who? (4) Should we move from the farm where we have been living? My wife has been having these spells for about 4 years.
