[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Gussie W. Millaway, Stenos.]
Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y.
-
GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes, we have those conditions and causes surrounding this body [5044].
-
In interpreting the physical and mental disturbances here, the sources and basis for these are in the karmic conditions of this body.
-
To those responsible for this body: Rather than feeling it is a calamity, know that it is an opportunity to meet not only those things in self, but to help this individual entity or soul in its search for its oneness with the Creative Forces, or God.
-
It was during the period of gestation that the conditions from the physical standpoint apparently were influenced, but unless there is the activity of those who are responsible for the physical body, the channel through which the soul of this entity is manifested in the present, there may come little help.
-
Then in patience, in love, in prayer, not in the activities of delegating the care to others, nor of considering it as a burden, but making the administrations as true services, and through the care and love and patience as may be manifested, may ye help, may ye aid, may ye find in thy experience that this becomes a pleasure rather than a burden to thy activities.
-
It will also offer, as indicated, the opportunity of those in the surroundings and environs to learn patience and kindness and gentleness. The body is not to be shunned, but ever treated as an equal, and with all the care that may be made manifest.
-
The use of the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying Gold will be the mechanical aid that will help in coordinating the nerve activity and the reflexes through the sympathetic nervous system, and the brain reflexes to the activity in the body: thus bringing quietness, bringing better and greater harmony.
-
The Appliance should carry the regular strength charge. Use Chloride of Gold only, Sodium Chloride of Gold, 1 grain to 1 oz. of distilled water, using 3 ounces.
-
Make the attachments for this particular body at the 9th dorsal with the small plate, and the umbilical or lacteal duct plexus with the large plate through which solution passes vibratorially. This will be 2 fingers from the navel center to the right, and 2 fingers up. Let the mother measure this. This is not measured in the length of the fingers, but in the width of the fingers.
-
Apply this for thirty minutes at least four times each week, and have a regular period, preferably at night when the body is ready or prepared for retirement.
-
Each time after this treatment with the Appliance, massage the body, especially along the spinal area from the base of the brain to the end of the spine, particularly in the cervical area, letting this extend up to the face, chin, antrum and mastoid areas, down the spine, and on each side of spine to the end of the spine.
-
Do these for at least nine months, then we would give further instructions.
-
We are through with this reading.

R4. 10/9/52 Mrs. O. R. M. did not answer above questionnaire-letter. A.R.E. files have no record of an order to Mr. Godfrey for a refill for the Wet Cell Appliance. No record of verbal or written contact on this case since date of reading.
Background
Background
B1. 5/9/35 Born in New York; religious background not indicated.
B2. Since there was considerable pressure during 1943-1944, a routine procedure was installed for handling the flood of correspondence. The following enclosures were sent in reply to first inquiry letters: 1. A mimeographed form letter. 2. A printed booklet describing Mr. Cayce’s work, with application blanks giving requirements for securing a reading. Frequently, an application blank and a check was all that we received. In this particular case, ARE files have no record of any correspondence previous to 12/14/43.
B3. 12/14/43 EC’s letter: “I have yours of the 10th enclosing application for membership, and the request for a Mental Reading for your son… The first open period for this reading is May 5th, 10:30 to 11:30 E.W.T. If you accept this period, be sure to let us know where he will be at that hour. You may also prepare a list of questions to have asked at the time of the reading. Hoping to be in time to be of help…”
B4. 12/29/43 Mother’s letter: “I received your letter in which you state that May 5, 1944 will be the first possible date you can give a reading for my son. At this time, he is seriously ill, and I wonder if there would be any possible way in which the reading could be given at a sooner time. I realize that you have thousands of other people to take care of, some probably more seriously ill than my son, but I feel that if there is any possibility we must do all that we can as soon as we can. If you would kindly consider this matter…”
B5. 1/10/44 EC’s reply: “I have yours of the 29th. I am sorry indeed to note that your son is so ill. I wish it were possible for us to advance this appointment… We are getting farther and farther in advance with appointments. Hoping that the morning of May 5 will be satisfactory…”
B6. 5/2/44 Mother’s letter: “Concerning the reading for my son on May 5th, he will be on the davenport in the living room of his home at …, N.Y. The questions I would like to have asked are: (1) What is the cause of his condition? (2) Is there any cure or treatment? (3) What is the treatment or cure? (4) What could be done for his education? (5) Is he hard of hearing? (6) Would a change of environment help? (7) Will his condition interfere with the development of his 6-year old sister? I hope this information is sufficient and that you will be able to help our son.”
